Who is better?
Laron Landry
Eric Reid
Grant Delpit

I'm going with Delpit, Landry and Reid in that order. Each have different styles but I'm taking Delpit

Delpit is a blend of the two.
I'll accept this order.

Delpit will be second only to honeybadger by the time he finishes here.

Delpit reminds me a lot of Reid. I think he's a better player, though, which is saying a lot.

Delpit is more well rounded than those two. Landry and Reid we're maybe more physical in the run game being bigger safety's. Grant has a honey badger like feel for the game though. Jamal Adams and Grant are the two best at that position that I've seen in my lifetime.

Delpit is on his way to being argubaly the best, but Landry was the best head hunter I've ever seen at that position and that is the type of play I love, so he gets nod as best for me.

GD9 is second to none no doubt but, to compare him against the other LSU Legendary safeties is a subjective nightmare.

I will say that Delpit had one of the most impressive strips during the fake FG break-up vs UGA. The guy is lying on his back after over pursuing the ball carrier but somehow sits up to strip the ball away. It was one of those plays that you just watch and appreciate but don't understand what happened util you've seen the replay 30 times...

Prisoner of the moment much?

How quickly people forget how good Landry was in college as a 4 year starter.

Delpit is good but not on Landrys level...YET

And second off I would put Adams above Reid. Theres a reason Adams and Landry were drafted top 6.

Landry by A LOT!

Don't be stuck in the here and now. Landry was an absolute beast and definitely brought the hat when hitting!

Delpit is good and so was Reid. I think Delpit is ahead of Reid in the same point in their college careers so I put him ahead of Reid, nit by much though.

Delpit

He's just as good a tackler as Reid and Landry and he's better in coverage.

I love Delpit, but I’ll never forget the interception Reid made at Bama in 2011.

Tough to compare since today's safeties (adams my pick) have to do such much more than play centerfield and crack somebody's head.
Adams & Delpit can play at the line and have a higher volume of football IQ (delpit on the fake FG)

Landry was a ball hawk his 1st yr then he was a straight terror as a blitzer from then on. Reid was a great eraser as a freshman and sophomore and was a decent cover safety on TEs and 3rd/4th wrs his jr yr. Adams would probably be higher on the interception list if he caught the ball better his career but as run defender he filled his lane at a awesome rate and speed. GD9 has been all this as freshman and sophomore year and its only going to get better that is what makes him potentially better than all of them
