UK calorie caps
A 10 year old can see that if you reduce the size of a pizza then an obese person will just buy 2 pizzas.
A fit person may buy the larger pizza because he wants to share it with others.
The govt may realize this but their purpose is not to make people healthier. Their purpose is to gradually acquire more control over individuals.

What's worse is if the original large was 1500 calories and the new govt capped medium is 1000 calories obese people with no self control are now feeding themselves extra calories because of this measure.

Not a fan of the government telling me I can do anything but
I’m eating that whole pizza and I’m fit. Deal with it Brits

I can see this as a simple trial and error approach to promote healthier living. This may work for many people.
People do eat Lean Cousines and Healthy Choice meals even though they taste like shite.
You have to admit our portion sizes and junk foods are out of control.
Education should be the main approach. Regulating isn't the way.

Exact same thing as the New York liberals and their soda size cap. Just buy two cokes instead in one.

Kinda like here in America - one to a customer - but you can bring the wife and three kids and go home with five of them.

The government cannot regulate health and wellness. That's something that has to come through education, parenting, and personal responsibility.

It looks like the ministry of Plenty is finally up and running in the UK! The ministry of Truth and Love's power were observed a couple months ago when they arrested the reporter covering Muslim child rape and censored him completely from social media and news...

Government could make real changes by stopping subsidies for things like high fructose corn syrup.
