"Justin jefferson is a nice player but looks like a solid number 2 or 3 guy"

Landry: "yeah. They've had problems under 2 different regimes now developing young receiver talent. Sullivan is an old school guy who doesn't feel comfortable putting the freshmen out there full time. I say you have to put your best athletes and playmakers on the field. Let them run 1 or 2 routes and make plays. Giles is a guy who isn't fast and can't get open. They have young talent in Chase and Marshall."

It’s true. We have the talent. But we can’t develop it. Odell and Jarvis were great for our standards in college, but they did far more against better defenders in their first year in the NFL bc they had real coaching

Sammy Watkins made a killing on those behind the LOS his entire career. Why can't we do it?

Chris Landry is an idiot and I have no idea why his ideas keep getting posted here

Sammy Watkins

I think that is who I was trying to think of the last couple days. Always when I was away from the computer.

Is he the kid who was going bald early in life? Loved that guy if so.

He’s 100% right about Giles. And we do have old school coaches that don’t seem to understand that they can design 3-5 plays for playmakers and they don’t have to know the whole offense to get on the field.

You are thinking of Sammy Martin.

Well I don't like Landry either. He's a cocky, know-it-all bastard; but isn't he knowledgeable and a pretty good analyst? I always thought so.

Sounds like the more things change, the more they remain the same.

You do remember that their receiver coach was Adam Henry. Henry is in the NFL right now coaching Landry in Cleveland.

Chris Landry is an idiot and so is anyone else who doesn’t think Sullivan is a good WR coach.
Jarvis didn’t do crap until the 2nd half of his sophomore season and Odell was good as a freshman them had a semi slump his sophomore year
Stephan Sullivan, Dee Anderson, and Dillon are light years better than they were last year

Sammy Martin was a running back. He did go into the slot. He was super fast. If he played in today’s NFL, he would kill it. Think of Edelman type.

I don't recall anyone indicating Sullivan is not a good WR coach.

Lol, give me a fricking break. So a couple of months with one team made them that much better? They did something no one in the sec has done before.

And I also would hope players got better in the NFL as time goes on. It's their job now. No restrictions on practices.

Chase and Marshall need more snaps that’s the only thing I agree with.
