I was hoping someone would ask this question, because I thought the same thing. The Saints would have a full 2-TD (14 PT) lead right now had they simply kicked the XP. This is a prime example of how teams go for two unnecessarily. It made zero rational sense to go for 2 after that TD. Hopefully, Brees stays hot after the Redskins make their halftime adjustments and that coaching blunder doesn't come back to haunt us.

You don’t go for two there unless you are going to go for two every time. There is no other argument really. And they don’t go for two every time so...

I think they got caught in the moment and made a bad decision. I hope it doesn’t come back to bite them.
