If someone attempted a heinous act against you nearly 20 years ago, would you report it?

Imagine you have indisputable proof of said attack, with multiple corroborating witnesses that you can narrow down to day of attack, approximate time of attack, and apartment building.

FYI, there is no statute of limitations for this attempted act. Do you report or no? If no, why not?

Let's not get bogged down in the reasons why you didn't report sooner, this thread is not about that.

I doubt it, if it still bothered me that much I may take the situation into my own hands, but I wouldn’t go the law enforcement route.

I have a feeling this question is in political disguise... but I'll answer honestly...

If I didn't report it 20 years ago, the only reason I would report it 20 years later is if this person pissed me off recently and I wanted revenge, or if I learned he was in some sort of position to possibly do this act against someone else and I wanted to prevent it.

That's really the only 2 reasons...

Nah, 20 years is too long imo. If it affected a person that much, they should have reported it when it happened.

I'd research the perps life and make my decision on that. Pretty easy.

too many variables. Not likely but it is possible I might and expect others to report something

If it’s so bad I would’ve reported it when it happened

What exactly are you basing your decision on?

If the guy's life is good and you want to ruin it?

no, if he or she has treated people well since then and is a good person, the incident would not get reported.

on the other hand, if he or she's a piece of shite, then it would get reported.

I would not report. Abduct said violater, bury alive with a gopro watching him/her die slowly in a panic. May provide an oxygen source to extend the anguish and my entertainment.
