I felt that way after 2012 LSU-Alabama.

I remember not getting up to leave as soon as the game was over and 75% of my row did the same...maybe out of pure exhaustion or frustration or both. It was eerily quiet walking down the ramps that night.

Same. I remember thinking how now I would have to wait 2 years to see us have a chance to win at home again. And then 2 years later I had the same thought, and then 2 years later, the same. But this year I've got a feeling...

2007 was a better game though. The stadium seemed louder than I've ever seen it

East Upper wasn’t there until 2000. And the stadium club and West was completed in 2006.
Extra 23,000 people will make it louder

Both were great games, though

03 Georgia is the best game in Tiger Stadium history

I agree but I am biased since I was at that game and wasn't there for either Florida game.
I went to 3 games the 97 season: Auburn, Ole Miss, and Notre Dame.
Followed those up with UGA in 98. I had a really bad stretch.

Leonard Fournette was in the backfield in 1997. Weird.

At both 97 was great but we were the underdog. 07 was two great teams going at it. When they announced USC losingMy buddy a gator fan sat down pulled his bottle of bourbon and was mumbling “its over its over” Florida scores after that but he knew the writing on the wall. Even the sheriff deputy felt bad for him

Father-in-law took me to the 97 game as a birthday gift. Wife is still pissed she didn't get to go. Additionally a really great man gave us his press box seats as an upgrade for the birthday celebration. He was at the game but had other responsibilities and wouldn't be sitting in his seats. I have to go with the 97 game as the greatest, the experience was one that I will never forget.

That game was amazing. I road tripped from Gainesville to attend that game with three Gators. The trip home was very quiet.

Having attended both, as well as quite a few other big games in between, the 97 game has always been the most memorable to me. While the peaks of the 07 game may have been a bit crazier due to the physical number of people packed inside, the 97 game was never topped for the level of sustained energy in that stadium. From pre to post game that place was rocking. Couldn’t hear or talk to the person next to you all game long. Never experienced anything like it before or since, in any stadium.

I was also in the golden band in 97. As we were packing up to leave the stadium I was unable to locate my hat. Turns out one of my fellow students found the game every bit as memorable as I had and used the post game hysteria to get away with a one-of-a-kind souvenir Didn’t even mind having to buy the replacement.

Was at both '97 and '07 Florida games. Both some of the best I've ever seen at any level. I'd have to give the edge to '97. Storming the field after a game when we had no business beating Florida at that time. Stadium was far past electric for the entire game.

Great game I was there! But the greatest game was USC '79. I was there for that one too! Not even a second thought!

That one was up there but I would not put it #1. Tiger Stadium at its peak was a game against Florida, but it was 10 years later.

Saying that, the experience prior to the USC game, was scary good. Remember a sea of LSU fans meeting USC's bus yelling Tiger Bait while rocking the bus! Then the game day atmosphere was nothing like the newer generations of recent years. Literally stood the whole game, and yelled and screamed to the top of our lungs. Even with just seconds on the clock, had a receiver wide open all alone in the end zone and dropped the pass. I think it was Engsminger who threw it not David . Unbelievable experience.

I wasn’t there in 97 either. (Apparently fish and I were the only two LSU fans not there.)

But 03 Georgia and 07 Florida were my top two Tiger Stadium experiences ever. And both of those games were in seasons we went on to win championships.

We didn’t win anything in 97.
