Don't underestimate a team of misfits. Look at VGK last year.

The team isn’t misfits it’s the admin and coaching staff

Looking back they made the right move passing on Tkachuck for now. But I’m sure he will give the good guys fits once Ottawa figures out that tanking yearly isn’t a good strategy.

Bunch of jerks are making a good run at a playoff spot. I still don’t trust em, but they’re working hard. F the panthers tonight and go habs!

I think we maybe made too many trades, to the point where it’s impacting chemistry. We looked great against SJ with just Duchene. We then added three more new faces to the room (and lost well-liked Duclair) since then.

I’m also concerned that even the minor trades like McQuaid/Kinkaid added a LOT of pressure. I think Duchene was great trade not only to get him, but because it was management telling the players: “we believe in you.” It provided a spark. But since then, the other trades kinda moved it from a nice jolt to a, “wow, the Jackets are ALL IN. Jarmo’s crazy!! They BETTER do well in the playoffs... or else.” And I wonder if that’s wearing on players.

We’ll see where the season goes from here. Dzingel I think is still trying to find his way, but he hasn’t looked much more noticeable than Duclair right now. At the moment, both from an asset standpoint and maybe, if the two paragraphs above are true, a psychological standpoint, I kinda wish we would’ve stopped after the Duchene trade.

Retired Iginla’s jersey tonight at the Saddledome

Best crowd in the Dome since the 2015 playoffs, time to punt the Wild into the sun

Can we play St. Louis every game? I swear we play our best against them, especially Benn

Otherwise, he is a liability. No way should he be a captain. Stars should trade him for a 3 Rd round darft pick just to get his negative energy off our ice. He has really regressed since his first 2 years with the Stars.

That’s a funny way to spell Mike Smith. He was great in 2012, but is now reddy to go out to pasture.

He’s been the hot hand the last 10-15 games but he was pretty lame last night. Rittich has consistently been the better goalie this season. I don’t want to see smith in net in the playoffs unless rittich is hurt.

Pittsburgh has one game in hand over Montreal, while Columbus has 2, including today's.

CBJ also hold the tiebreaker over both. So a win today and CBJ will move into the WC1 position.

NYR plan of giving up rushes, slot, and backdoor shots seem to be working right now.
