Nah it's more the fact they feel like he knew he wasn't signing a new deal and they could've traded him to someone to get a pretty decent return, even if he was just going to be a rental.

That was a genuine moment between that kid and Carey Price. Tough time for that family, but that had to lift their spirits. Kudos Mr. Price, kudos.....

Goaltending has been very good, but it's a product of their defensive tactics from Barry Trotz. They pack it in and keep everything on the perimeter. Active sticks and dont allow cross ice passes.
On the flip side, they're 20th in GF/G.

They feel he lied to them.
The fans would be upset no matter what, but their vitriol is taken up a notch because they were out of the playoff race and it was reported he explicitly asked to NOT be traded at the deadline. So it hurt more both emotionally (made people think he was gonna re-sign) and practically (could’ve gotten assets for him and lost him for nothing).

This. I stayed up till 2-3 am on the Isles discord for a few nights before the deadline waiting for word. It was brutal

Trotz brought Mitch Korn who is a great goalie coach and also Robin opened up about being bipolar in the off-season and has been getting a lot of support
