LSU will probably only have one more kickoff at 2:30pm on CBS this year:

Oct 6 at Florida 2:30pm (set)

Oct 13 vs Georgia 2:30pm (set)

And LSU will be on CBS one more time, but in primetime:

Nov 3 vs Alabama 7pm (projected)

Don’t really get the obsession with wanting to make a whole day out of a game against southeastern

230 kickoffs are alright with me. I hate all the TV timeouts though.

You want to sit in Tiger Stadium during the day in early September?

2:30 kickoffs later in the fall are fine. They just suck in September and early October when it's hot AF the entire game. Those November 2:30 kickoffs are fine and it's dark by the 4th quarter.

OP: 1 + 1 = 1

UF @2:30
UGA @2:30

Pretty much my exact feeling. I kind of like getting it over with and being able to relax at night and watch other games without our game looming.

It can be pretty miserable in the stadium for these 2:30 games too, depending on the weather. Hopefully the weather will have cooled down a bit 2 weeks from now when UGA rolls in.

One more

I said, “one more,” as in one more announced 2:30pm CBS kickoff.

I’m exonerated.

All Tiger home games should be played at night. The networks want us that bad? They should play by our rules.

Games starting before 6pm in September in Tiger Stadium should be outlawed. Hell, with this global warming thing going on, that should also apply through mid-October. I think the SEC has done a very reasonable job of working with LSU on making sure we don't play in the day in September.

I personally like the 2:30 games as long as it isn't hot. Unlike most, I am not a "tailgate warrior" who hits it hard from dawn til dusk on game day. I like getting home before 1 am (unlike what occurred this past Saturday).

And honestly, as long as the weather is decent (no rain or sweltering heat), there is NO EXCUSE for people to leave in droves at halftime of a 2:30 game.

Looking at the long range forecasts, we have a shot at not 90 degrees weather for that game on Oct 13. Might be low-to-mid 80s and cloudy. That beats the HELL outta Auburn last year at 95 degrees and sunny.

See your signature. The networks don’t give a frenchman’s frick about what the fans want, the tv money trumps what the fans want.

We can always go back to sucking. Then all the games can be 7 pm.

Is the three 2:30 games limit a myth? Georgia has already had two (SC and Tenn) and now has four total scheduled (LSU and UF).

2:30 games when it's hot are an advantage for LSU. Make the opponent sit in the sun while our guys get to rest in the shade.

It's about winning. Fan comfort is second to winning.
