I think it has to do with the screams of equality but SOME have been proven in very public forums to have simply used this angle to gain power in a situation due to how automatically a female is believed.
Extend it with a growing sentiment against men in mass media. It’s not even a discussion....it’s just spoken as a given.
Example: (with added bonus of hypocrisy)
On and on. And if anything is said publicly, a steam roll of PC vigilantes will crash on the person with the mild ones calling them sexist and the militant ones blantantly saying they can’t have an opinion on this because their feelings don’t matter because they are males/white/etc.
If the identity politics angle doesn’t fit, replace with essentially accusations of being traitors to the cause (wtf).
Couple that with how you have people with authority actively say that a girl can retroactively take consent away if she feels wrong about the situation (“regret means rape”) or how some of the voices of the #metoo movement included nothing about sexual assault or pressure, just an undesired advance.
On and on.
People are fricking sick of it.
Oh, and you wanna know the best part?
For all of the crying about the problem now, the rate has actually been cut in half since 1990.

Some woman posted this on FB the other day. Comical. You know what the violent crime rates are against men and women? 22% for men and 19% for women.
So, as a man, you are 3% more likely to be a victim of a violent crime than a woman is (and yes, that includes sexual assault).

Of course there are, but weeding through the bad ones just isn't worth the effort to them. Both are active duty Army stateside at the moment, and have other things they'd rather be doing because a 26 year old can't just go around chasing the strange with no care in the world anymore , too easy to get your whole world turned upside down over a piece of arse. They'd rather go out shooting or play video games or what have you .
And it isn't just my sons that feel that way, quite a few young men are fed up with the entire shtick.

It’s to the point where guys should just consider shunning all female relationships and just jack off when they need a sexual release. Women are already hard enough to deal with on a regular basis and now some are trying to throw this shite in there, too? Thank God I’m already married, I couldn’t imagine trying to date in today’s minefield of a social structure.
