About an inch too long from a wet field.

Also the ball is just a little bit heavier when wet.

Rain and high moisture content in the air create resistance and tend to take several yards off the ball. I actually was impressed he banged of the crossbar.

Really not a miss. Dead on, but hit the crossbar and was deflected out. They said it was a 53 yard shot.

We won't need him to kick a last min fg to beat Bama! We beat them by 10.

wat?

He has hit the crossbar twice on 53’s and missed a 54 yarder short.

Pretty obvious his distance is limited to about 53 and in, is it not?

I’m not trying to knock him at all, he is a great and reliable kicker but it is fairly obvious he doesn’t have a monster leg.

Again I’m not trying to knock him. You are right, he is a great college kicker.

Just trying to say he has a fairly obvious limit based on what we have seen on the field.

His distance is obviously limited but he is very accurate

His distance is so limited that he has the school record for longest field goal.

It is limited. He hits the long ones very low. Needs to elevate them some or bama will block one.

He is very good inside 40. Kicks a bit low over 40. Very low over 50. Very accurate though, so I’ll take it.

Tracy is tied for second in the country for longest FG at 54, long is 55. I don’t know where some of y’all get this crap.

Perfect conditions he makes it. He is such a great contribution to this team! He'll win either the UGA or Bama game.

Yep. Crosswind and rain take 2-5 yards off a kicker’s long range.

Heck, a half rotation of the ball he might have made it. Ball hit the crossbar square and bounced back. Had it hit on a 90 degree or so rotation it might have bounced through like the one against Miami.

Dude has the range. He was making 55 during warmups with ease and about 5-10 yards clearance. Wet conditions, the hold, pressure can definitely alter that

53...it’s was a low kick. If it had any height it would’ve cleared.

His range is more than adequate for the majority of attempts.

Occasionally longer FG attempts are needed. The record in the NFL is 64 yards.
There aren’t many kickers that can reach that range.
