The beginning of the end of the Democrat Party?

The lines crossed this summer can not be undone, the corruption charges yet to come could splinter the party into factions, couple this with the Bernie bros pushing outright socialism and I see the Dems split after the midterm catastrophe that is shaping up. They have no DNC leadership to speak of to hold the party together.
If this happens, what do they split in to? Would a third party form with the Bernie bros making a play for the unions? Where do the minorities go? Would the Black caucus take over the shell of the Democrat party if the moderates go R and the socialists bail?

They're not done defiling themselves yet. Give them another year

Give them another hour. I don't think they're done with accusations.

Their leadership is so emotional that the melting has only just begun. I just can’t see the big city and coastal libs sitting back and allowing Schumer and Pelosi to run the party aground like they are.
We almost saw the Republican Party come apart with the GHWB/Perot split, but Gingrich kept it all together by the Contract for America and rallying around hatred of WJC. If they rally around hatred of DJT but their leadership has no Gingrich, how can they keep the Bernie Bros, the Black Caucus and the moderate Dems all under one tent? The Socialists and ultra libs are not just going to sit back and keep the status quo. The status quo was an abject failure today and there is more disappointment and Dem dysfunction on the horizon if they fall apart in November and don’t get their red wave.

The Balkanization of the left is overdue. Even a big tent can get crowded. Socially conservative blacks, feminist, the alphabet troupe, true American liberals and socialist CANNOT coexist within one party. Faux outrage is the only thread holding them together currently.

I see the same thing, especially if the vocally angry portions of the party start to revolt against the status quo because they are dissatisfied with the outcomes of the big events on the horizon. The midterms, the next SC spot, the Obama care legislation debate redux, 2020 election etc

I thought so too before Nov 9, 2016.

They've driven almost all working class whites away and now they're doing same with middle class whites...an unsustainable recipe for success with the countries demographics.
If pubs can get more minority support (even 3 to 4 points would be a huge swing)it could make for a difficult 20 to 30 years for the dims.

The only hope the Democrat party has for a future is importing millions more third world brown people.
Real Americans have written Democrats off, that's why they so desperately need a new block of welfare voters.

Let me tell y'all something about Democrats: these people almost got away with defaming someone to tank a Supreme Court nomination, thankfully they didn't. The Democrat leaders in DC are not your friend, they don't care about you, they don't care about America, they don't care about due process, they don't care about the Constitution, they don't care about the rule of law, they don't care about integrity, they don't care about ethics, they don't care about capitalism. They only care about your tax dollars, your subjugation, your submission, your dependence, the obliteration of federalism and the conversion to a socialist unitary state.

I am not sure that more immigrants voting are going to help them if they are splintered

So much wishful thinking I don't know where to start. Discounting your opposition like this is foolish and makes you look stupid. The Dems were saying all the same things about the GOP in 2013-14 when Tea Party crazies like Cruz started gaining momentum, which they countered with electing a democrat and calling him their own (Trump).

The Dems will be fine and get power back eventually, maybe 2020, probably 2024. There will never be a 3 or more party system ever again, anyone who understands behavioral economics or game theory knows this. We're locked into a two party system for the rest of our lifetimes with each party being in power every so often.
But don't let me get in the way of another solid 'hopes and dreams' thread.....

The dynamic has certainly changed, but it’s not the end of that party.
People were saying the same about the Dems in the mid-90s. It’s a pendulum.

Thread is just discussion
I don’t see the end of the Dems but I do see a huge split coming

Problem is every Dem could piss on Mother Teresa's grave and they'd still get elected. They're all like-minded, undisciplined sociopaths.
