No. Bama is the best team money can buy. We’re not.

That would be like the 6th game of the century

1945 army Notre dame
1966 Notre dame Mich state
1969 arkie Texas
1996 Florida Tenn
2011 Bama LSU

Let's don't do another one.

Can we just focus on beating Ole Miss? When we do that, we can focus on beating UF. November 3 is a looooooooooong way away.

It wasn’t Game of the Century because it was #1 vs #2. It was Game of the Century because it was considered to be two of the best college teams of all time.

No matter what, this year’s game won’t be that.

we didn't have really elite RBs.

Ware and Blue were pretty damn good, and have had decent NFL careers.

Special teams have been great like 2011.

Our ST’s have been good this year, but Brad Wing and our return game in 2011 were ridiculous.

Nah. Now it could be #3 vs #1 if we beat UGA, but at the same time, we are nowhere near Bama. Their defense is better than ours and their offense is multiple levels better.

The OL can't stay healthy, WRs can't catch consistently, and Burrow will be harassed all night. Ole Miss will be the best test for our defense to see how we can match up with Bama on that end.

Exactly. You get it

I do think next year's could if we go full spread. Offense will be loaded and experienced, as well as the defense (who should only lose White and Greedy, but get back Chaisson and bring in Stingley).

Don't forget Ohio State-Michigan from 2006 , that was pumped up a ton. I remember lots of writers pushing for that to be the original mulligan BCS.

Interestingly, both got handled in their bowls.

???? wait you putting 2011 LSU offense on the same level as 2018 bama offense?? Hahaha

Looking at the first 4 games and the quality of opponents they faced, is it that far fetched? We know they are probably not the comparable, Tua is the real deal, but on paper they don't look that far off.

2011 LSU
@neutral site No. 3 Oregon W 40–27
Northwestern State W 49–3
@No. 25 Mississippi State W 19–6
@No. 6 West Virginia* W 47–21

2018 Alabama
@neutral site Louisville* W 51-14
Arkansas St W 57-7
@Ole Miss W 62-7
@22 Texas A&M W 45-23

BS... they would have to beat 4 Top 10 teams in the regular season, including #1 and #2 (currently).

They still wouldnt be as good as that team. Buster Douglas isnt better than Tyson regardless of the result.

2011 is the best LSU team of all time except for maybe 2003.

Just like 2011 New Orleans Saints is better than the SB team.
