What are the chances it could be number 1 vs 2 for BAMA V LSU?

No. We don’t have near the talent of that 2011 team. Those two teams were some of the best in college football history.

this. Even if we do get to #2 against them, both teams are not as good. Alabama’s offense MIGHT be better, but there just isnt the same amount of NFL talent imo. Not far off though.

No. People don't realize that had it not been for 1/9 that LSU team would be considered an all time great. This team, no matter how much they win is not that.

In 2011, both teams looked like bama 18.

We also blew everyone we played out.

So no. There will not be a game of the century part 2.

Yeah, if we win this year it will be a true upset. 2011 it was just two heavyweights and you had no idea what would happen. Bama at that point didn’t have the strangle hold on college football that it does right now.

Yeah, those defenses were just so tough and elite, and having Honey Badger just brought the team to another level. I think this year's defense could potentially have more NFL first rounders starting on it though (White, Greedy, Delpit and possibly Lawrence if he stays healthy). I also think this defense hasn't come close to peaking yet as they are still inconsistent in the secondary.

Special teams have been great like 2011. Our passing game wasn't special at all in 2011 even though we had RR and OBJ, but we ran over everyone even though we didn't have really elite RBs. We scored 40+ in 9 of our games and 35+ in 2 others. Our offense isn't on that level this year.

Recently looked up how many future NFL players played in that game, it was something like 45-50

BS... they would have to beat 4 Top 10 teams in the regular season, including #1 and #2 (currently). Then have to beat 2 more Top 4 teams to win it all. That would eclipse the Herculean feats accomplished even by the 2011 team.

I just don’t believe that will happen.
