Sure, were not a great team, but do you really think teams like Stanford, Washington, Notre Dame, West Virginia are better than us ? I say its even money or better vs all the second tier teams at this point.

If LSU gets up like they did for Miami and Auburn and fought through adversity like they did in "Jerden Hair", LSU can beat anyone in the country minus bama. Bama would take an act of heroism and make Tua make mistakes all night.

I'd say 5 is appropriate but we're really only there by default at this point

The first 4 seem to have distances themselves from the rest including us

Out of the remaining undefeated we have the best resume with 2 top ten wins. It would be ludicrous to put us anywhere other than the 5-7 range.

OL /injuries
DT depth
WR inexperience
Burrow only has 4 starts, but he's coming along

top 5 is elite football teams, we're not there yet...

LSU was elite program for many years, no way this team looks the part at this time

People here say were not top ten, maybe 15. Why? Look at those other teams. Sure , we have shortcomings but were one of the best teams in the country.

we have the best resume for wins but not stats. Just keep building it and it will come... didnt some one else say that once upon a time?

I’ve been asking this question all day to the people that claims that this is two high

What program ranked BELOW LSU is without a shadow of a doubt, better and will beat them on the field?

the ranking is justified, and the resume is the sticking point.

doesn't mean I can't critique where I think they may be deficient.

I don't like being ranked high early in the season. The expectations are hard to live up to and we perform better as an underdog.

I would go streaking down Nicholson all the way to Freds.

Define great. On any given day LSU has enough talent to beat any team in college football, Bama included. Defense is as good as it gets and special teams have been great.

LSU doesn't have the high powered offense that other teams have and maybe that keeps them from being great but LSU has wins over current #16 Miami and #9 Auburn which is as good or better than any other team in the country.

At the end of the day it doesn't matter because LSU will play Georgia and Bama. Those two games settle everything.

Do you think we're a great team? I dont. I just feel that we're a legit top 10 team unless we completely shite the bed.

Because Coach Eaux hasn't proved that he can handle pressure of expectations yet. He does incredibly well in the underdog role but underperforms when the expectations rise

We lack an offensive identity and elite skill guys on offense.

The only 2 teams in the country I wouldn’t want to play are on our schedule

We would definitely give Oklahoma hell and they could very well end up a playoff team

Watched Oregon and Stanford last night and believe either one of those two team could light us up. Any other questions?
