I knock them over if they are parked in my way when i walk on the sidewalk around Atlanta. People just leave them wherever they want with no regard to pedestrians. They are terrible. People ride them through the park even though motorized vehicles are prohibited. And the companies market them as a last mile solution but most people are just joy riding for entertainment. Also around here there are some questionable characters that seem to use them for drug running in downtown and committing crimes. Ive witnessed a lot of sketch activity in the seedier areas of downtown atlanta.

It's about 13 minutes to the first traffic signal, so no.

New Orleans just got rent-a-bikes so, one step at a time, I guess.

Yes, we have Birds in Memphis.

Woman at work fell off one and had to have facial reconstruction surgery. Other than that nothing crazy other then dumbasses riding them sometimes. I like them, they’re a fun way to get around downtown.

I can't see them making it in NOLA. The culture will have them all in the river in 24 hours.

A local crazy woman (used to talk on her cell phone - with power off - and flip off cars that came by) has an e-bike. It has little speed (or she drives it slowly) and she drives it like you would a car. I've seen a line of oil field trucks behind her. She runs stop signs. She's going to get killed.

She apparently purchased it with settlement funds when she got hit while crossing the street in front of my office on her bicycle.

Yes. They are all over Charlotte.

Constantly see 20 something women wearing heels and dude bros wearing headphones whizzing around uptown at 15 mph on the sidewalks and roads.

I’m shocked no one has gotten lit up by a car yet.

Lime has received almost half $1 billion in venture funding. Two of the competitors also received hundreds of millions.

For scooters!

They’re huge over in Santa Monica. It was a big deal a couple of months ago because of irresponsible riders. Riding on the sidewalk, running traffic lights and stop signs and riding them in crosswalks.
If people weren’t sucking fricking tards, it probably wouldn’t be an issue. Then again if a frog had wings he wouldn’t bump his arse when he jumped.

Yeah, they're all over Austin and DFW too. Some woman died last week in Dallas due to a fall while riding one of the scooters. I'm not saying it's the scooters fault, because people are idiots, but I immediately thought of how much of a liability they would be when I first saw them.

It'll happen with some of the folks I've seen. Seeing them all over Portland.

Pretty sure they're already in the works for Nola. Should be real fun with the potholes, I expect many drunken face plants.

I work on campus at Auburn. The electric skateboard’s are big and really a pain in the arse. As I’m driving through a crosswalk or making a turn in to a driveway, I’m accustomed to watching for traffic moving at a walking pace. Out of nowhere an a-hole on a skateboard will come zooming past at 10 miles an hour. It’s frustrating.
