Said hell never not say the truth about what he feels, but as an alumni maybe he just has higher expectations and a 9 win or non championship reason isn't good enough for him.

11 of the LSU starters are Ed Orgeron recruited players that are now 3-0 knocking off two top ten college football team. So what in the world does Marcus Spears see about this 2018 tiger team that he doesn't like?

Yup. And by holding LSU to a higher standard, he's actually not being objective. He's being subjective, and over the top negative to boot. He's provided zero insight as to what's going on when he could pick up the phone or visit campus and get information for himself.
Whether he or those defending him here care to admit it or not, he's hurting the very program he says he wants to see win championships again. (Which by the way is also subjective.)

I'm not sure how you figured that this is some kind of boom.
It's obvious that Spears was butthurt from being called out by LSU fans. It's also obvious that his conduct has been unprofessional.
OP thinking that this is a boom shows where he stands and it's not on LSU'S side. Spear's tirade was embarrassing much like his commentary. If he was going to dig his hole deeper it would've been better to just not say anything.

And everyone knows the real reason we lost to FLa that year is b/c my Ex wife made me go to her little sister's birthday party and scrapbooking party in Gretna that day.

Exactly like a bunch of so called LSU fans....bandwagon only. No chest to support during times of adversity. Can't you see how one that only appreciates a school when they get in the final four is a weak type of fan. Hell I remember when LSU went 12-0 and loss to Alabama the second time they had to play them in a single season - demanded a new coach.

If by 'weak' you mean 'rational', then sure.
This notion that you have to blindly agree with the coaches, admin, direction of the program, etc to be a good fan is ridiculous.
The exact reason for discontent is due to the love and admiration of the LSU football program and desire to see it succeed.
In short - dont be a sheep
