He is right we should not accept or be happy with less than a shot for the SEC Title. If we want to be the best you have to expect the best and never feel good about second best. I like me coach O and I think Coach O would agree with Spears that 9-3 is not going to get us where we want to be.

Yes, we all want to be contenders. However O did not inherit a team ready to contend. Further the constant derision of O by the media which was largely fueled by the fanbase since day one hurt recruiting.
Getting back to contender status is a process.
With preseason predictions of 6-6 and 7-5 l, I would say 9-3 would be progress given what we returned on offense.
No Tiger fan would be satisfied if the bar is set at 9 and 10’wins but it’s not. The CFP is the goal but we’re not there yet.
As for Spears he’s been one of the 6-6 guys so he should back off.
