Was searching for some quality shite-talking of Gus’ coaching prospects moving forward and stumbled on this melt. Joseph Goodman is a bitter little bitch. Not linking because frick AL.com.

quote:

Pass interference by Auburn defensive backs was LSU's best form of offense in the second half.

LSU's field goal that cut Auburn's lead to 21-13 in the third quarter was aided by pass interference on Auburn defensive back Javaris Davis. It was the beginning of a trend. Burrow would desperately throw a pass down the field, and Auburn's defensive backs would bail him out time and again.

Auburn committed pass interference twice on LSU's game-winning drive. The second pass-interference flag put LSU in field-goal range, and allowed them to win the game.

In between those two Auburn-aided field goals was Burrow's one-strike wonder to LSU receiver Derrick Dillon that went for a 71-yard touchdown. No one touched him. Dillion ran a route across the middle of Auburn's defense, and he raced down the sideline untouched to cut Auburn's lead to 21-19 with 8:18 left.

Like LSU didn’t get penalties out the arse. We even had a starter ejected. Auburn imploded when it counted.

Just think how bad they would have looked if they didn't interfere.

He’s not entirely wrong, but he ignores Burrow’s performance on that last drive.

I don’t see him crying about the calls. Looks like he reported facts. I’m amazed at how some of you perceive things

he was touched on the touchdown but they couldn’t stop him. It is correct that Auburn was so gassed on defense that they were reduced to grabbing and holding on that final drive. Interference was their only chance.

Didn’t even need creamer for my coffee this morning. Salty tears are delicious addition.

Here's a thought for these folks screaming about PI calls:

Those calls were legitimate and correct. Auburn gave LSU 15 yards at a time with those penalties. But what if Auburn hadn't committed those penalties? Who is to say that LSU's receivers wouldn't have then actually caught those balls and turned them into TDs? In my eyes, Auburn's PI calls saved them from getting truly blown out.

(See, I can spin things like these sad sack sports writers too.)

And as Coach O would say, "Geaux Tigers!"

So he's blaming LSU receivers for not catching balls when AU corners and safeties are holding down their arms and grabbing them by the waist because they got caught flat footed?

Honestly if the refs allowed that sort of play no team would have a passing game.

Tell the defenders not to interfere and to play the ball and it won't get called. Jefferson's hand was held down on that last PI Call. The one before it on Dillon he was pushed completely off his route and knocked down.

Not only that, there were a few others that should have been called. Auburn’s DBs seem to commit PI more often then not knowing the referees won't throw a flag every time. But their fans bitch when they do.

then they forget about all the calls that went against LSU. Maybe we never are down 21-10 with those momentum killing calls.
