Clearly you aren't familiar with you "you scratch my back, I'll scratch yours" concept that is all throughout the LHSAA...
Remember when non-football schools got to vote for the split in football?

I never said andrew was recruited did i?
This entire thing is about him being recruited. WTF are you talking about.
IF there is no proof that he was recruited, AND he must sit out a year, this is even more messed up.

To be fair... the EC did state that he would retain eligibility at VC... so if he wants to play bad enough... then he has a spot.
So the first move isn't a bona fide one, but the second move, which clearly would be ONLY for athletic purposes, is ok?
In what universe does that make any sense?

they have state titles in all 5 classes.

Went back and watched it. It's clearly stated that he would have to move back into VC's district and play for VC.

maybe it should be... a free-for-all where you dont hear so many complaints about unfairness

In the one which they still maintain their original residence and therefore there would be no MOVE at all.

The LHSAA doesn't seem to know the difference between residence and domicile. You can have more than one residence, you can't have more than one domicile. And the facts of the case indicate that the kid's domicile was in the Hahnville district.

If it was travel baseball, we would have 364 state champions per sport.
However, teams would be forced to play in the appropriate class for the talent they have.

I wanna know what rule Andrew broke to not be eligible.
2.1.2 and 2.1.3
The LHSAA made the correct ruling here.
ETA: The McKinley ruling is the egregiously unjust one.

Completely disagree.
The violations were contained to specific sports and instead the LHSAA punished the entire athletic system resulting in kids in McKinley programs being punished for absolutely no reason.

also.. read the rules on eligibility of FULL time faculty and staff dependents.....

Wrestling.
The coach has done a commendable job reviving a nearly dead program and, last year, McKinley got their first Division I state champ in over 20 years. He is a senior this year and will not allowed to defend his state title because he is banned from the postseason.
Neither he nor the coach, or anyone in McKinley's program, committed any sort of violation.

That's really not the crux of the issue as to why he was deemed in violation of the recruiting guidelines
Posted on 9/14/18 at 2:06 pm to KiwiHead
Problem is that everyone involved in the situation, except, seemingly, Eddie Bonine, knew exactly what happened and why.
