Are you able to give any update on this yet? Been pretty interested in your take since the original post.

This thread totally died… did everyone find their perfect shoe and stop buying/trying new ones?

Haven't bought anything new for a while. Rotation of shoes hasn't changed since I added the Rebel V2 back in October.

Easy - Clifton 7 or Nike Invincible (Both are almost at end of life so I will be looking soon)
Tempo - Rebel V2 or E Speed
Long - E Speed or RC Elite
Race - Next% 2

Same here. I came to realize that no shoe will work better for me than the endorphin speed; it’s damn near perfect.

Yeah I feel I can use it for any type of run and until something else comes out that matches the performance, I'm sticking with it.

The Rebel V2 is really great as well but it has its limits especially on really hard efforts.

Same here, it’s way more versatile than people give it credit for.

Recently ran 10 miles in my Atreyu Base Models. Not the most stable, but very lightweight and felt very in control of my stride and strike. Was my very first run in them and no issues with the cushioning on the paved concrete.

They do have my size but I currently have 4 pairs of endorphin speeds v1 already lol. I’m set for a while, but plan to get a pair of v3 (which release this summer) once they go on clearance.

Same.

Life has been in the way of my running, but my rotation hasn’t changed. Was running in Gel-Nimbus Lite 2 for daily miles but it just doesn’t get along with my running style. Endorphin Speed v1 has been my go-to daily and workout shoe.

Current rotation is:
Daily - Asics Gel Nimbus Lite 2, Saucony Endorphin Speed v1
Tempo/Workout - Saucony Endorphin Speed v1, Nike Zoom Fly FK
Race - New Balance RC Elite v1

Not sure what my next daily will be. Really want to try the Mach 4 and Novablast 2 or 3. Still searching for something that feels as bouncy and lively as my Nike Epic React 2’s felt.

I have been getting back into running for the first time in almost 15 years and need some shoes. I used to get fitted at Varsity Sports in BR back when I used to run.

In NOLA now… which one should I go to?
Varsity Sports Lakeview
Fleet Feet
Louisiana Running and Walking

All are fairly close to my house but leaning towards LA R&W. Not really sure why.

I tested these shoes. Wider softer mid with what seems like a higher stack. Heavier and the upper is a little overbuilt like the older asics. No pull tab. Went to a gusseted tongue that is very thick. So much so that it bruised my upper foot. Downgrade all the way around. When I put in my survey, I addressed all these issues.

For socks, my favorites are balega and Bombas; I find they have the most comfortable material. Feetures are good as well.

Injinji are really good if you’re prone to blisters on your toes. I have a few pairs and always wear them when playing basketball.

I've been in these, love them. First pair lasted me 8 months, and is still good for walking.

Does anyone recommend a similar shoe for wet running? I run no matter what the weather is, the Speed sucks in the rain. Is the Adidas ultraboost cold ready decent? Peregrine?

Saucony makes a water resistant Endorphin Speed. If you’re looking for grip, I’ve heard anything from Puma is best outside of a dedicated trail shoe.
