Because D will keep it close and we have a FG kicker that could win it for us late.
Charles back will help and maybe the offense will open up.
Mond looked like an All American under Fisher even though Starkel beat him out last year.

Well, things change on a dime during a football season. If the defense plays a great game, The Tigers have a very good shot.

I make no prediction, however. Predictions always bring doom.

This the problem.... AU has had this game circled for a while now.... this could get ugly....

Minus the suspensions and players out because of injury, our guys were simply flat coming off the high of beating the hell out of Miami (who everyone picked us to lose too). They will be completely refocused and pumped again for this game with something to prove where they are yet again a massive underdog. I believe our defense and Tracey could be the difference. It will be an all out war. Geaux Tigers!

Because I’m always optimistic and the day I go into an LSU game thinking they are going to lose is the day I stop being an LSU fan.

The ingredients are all there. The team just needed a little extra time in the oven.

Plus, SE was a short week after an emotional win.

I don't expect a win. It's at Auburn. However, I don't think it will be a blowout either way. I think LSU has a decent chance to win. I'm being optimistic, but thinking LSU can win something like 20 to 17 isn't crazy.

We got it in last year's Auburn game

I don't believe that was all the luck we have coming to us from the last 10 years.

I checked the account.

Why we can win

We have dominated field position.

It’s pretty wild.

Plus we get Charles back which could lead to improvement at both tackle spots if Deculus moves to RT.

LSUs defense is better than Auburns offense.

Yes we have a great defense.....but if our offense can’t stay on the field for a while....with hot conditions...the defense will tire and we lose.....run 15 plays in a half against Auburn and it will not be pretty.

Maybe LSU underestimated SLU, were overconfident, and didn't play their best. Maybe they were looking ahead to Auburn. So, maybe LSU has the capacity to play much, much better football. I hope so.

Maybe Auburn will see how much they are favored in this game and get a little overconfident themselves. Perhaps they choose to believe the bad hype about LSU and don't prepare at a high level of intensity.

Maybe our guys play a disciplined game and Auburn makes a bunch of mental mistakes resulting in costly penalties.

Maybe our defense gets a score or two.

Maybe our special teams and kicking step up and put us in position to add critical points.

If these things break our way, then I think we have a chance, no, a good chance to beat Auburn.

Defense. 11 players did not play according to 24/7.
