I got banned last night for starting this thread. Just a heads up.

quote:last year for Jimbo was an aberration. And he lost his starting QB first game of the season.
thats what im saying! where does this better coaching narrative even come from?
Except for last year, Jimbo went:
10-4
9-4
12-2
14-0
13-1
10-3
10-3
3 ACC championships, 1 national championship
That's where the "better coaching narrative" comes from.

Burrow is not an elite passer...period... LSU offense is in no way coached or play calling as TAM. LSU does not have the o line protection that Mond has.. any other questions.

Mond was under duress most of the night against what is probably the best DL in the nation and maybe the best D overall.
The difference is, most of the time no matter which direction he looked, there was an option for him to throw to. They might not have been open, but every "sector" of the field, horizontally, had an eligible reciever in it or passing through.
So when he kept his eyes downfield, it was for good reason. And where did he make his living last night? RBs over the top of pressure, TEs/WRs in the middle.
For us, if Burrow drifted/scrambled left or right, he would have one guy to look for. Keeping his eyes downfield was pointless. And stepping up in the pocket and throwing to the middle? Forget about it... we're in max protect; all he saw of the TEs was their asses and plumber's crack.

Why do you think the past has any relevance to the current? Orgeron's past was bad, but he's learned from his mistakes and is good now.

I still can't believe people don't realize that Fisher wanted out of FSU. Their administration is bad like ours and refused to pay for better assistant coaches. The guy just didn't give a shite anymore.
Really?

Jimbo wanted to be one of the highest-paid coaches in college football — and FSU made it happen.
Jimbo wanted his assistant coaches’ salaries to be among the best in college football — and FSU made it happen.
Jimbo wanted to spend millions on infrastructure, staffing and facilities — and FSU made it happen
Jimbo wanted an indoor practice facility — and FSU made it happen. Jimbo wanted a stand-alone football complex — and FSU was about to make it happen.

We play them this year. And the Aggies will still be talking about beating us 30 years from now.

shite coaching. It's the answer to everything.

We weren’t sold a bill of goods with Burrow. He is D1 quarterback.
He was sold a bill of goods by O and Ensminger.

I knew there were too many one/won combos in there to get it right.

wheres the disconnect?
Look at the number of college snaps each has taken & I think that will give you the answer to some extent. Mond may be more talented and certainly is more mobile. But he was starting his 10th collegiate game while Joe was starting his 2nd. Joe had very limited snaps during his tenure at OSU. GIve Joe some time before you make a true comparison.

After every one of your posts, I realize you really are dumb.

Everyone should be able to answer your question with 1 word.....COACHING
Posted on 9/9/18 at 5:02 pm to Open Your Eyes
Disconnect is Jimbo can coach QBs while LSU has a mediocre burned out TE coach at OC.

Virtually every recruit on FSU this season was Jimbo's.
They suck.
Conclusion... he saw it coming and ran to the highest bidder.
Yes, aTm came back and nearly pulled it out last night, but a few things go differently and Clemson is resting their starters with a 28 point lead.
Its 'breaks' sometimes they go your way, sometimes they don't.
Aggie fans are sky high on Jimbo today, after a loss... I remember them crowning Kevin Sumlin 1 game into his second season, then wanting to fire him by the end.
Aggies lose 4 games by end of October...wont be anybody praising Jimbo.
They suck.

Jimbo Fisher v. O and Ensminger. It really is that simple.
