I hope he earns it on punt returns alone. He had that one good catch where he dove for a first down which set up the 4th and 1

He will. I think he will do better finding holes in certain coverages. So like 3rd down situations. I’m not sure how well he does when they press. Problem is most D’s n the west aren’t afraid to man up and leave corners on an island

I think Chase is gonna be an incredible receiver this year for us. That touchdown catch (and it was a TD) showed his potential for greatness.
Chase will be great ( wasn’t a catch). Didn’t take the ball to the ground cleanly. It obviously moves when it hit the ground with no body part under it.

I just think he's not as good as Jefferson, Chase and Marshall.

Unless you think they are going to switch numbers mid-season, I think he's already "earned" the #7 in light of the fact that he IS #7.

I think the word you forgot to add is does he "justify" earning #7

I mean what has he shown to demonstrate he's better than those guys? He didn't do anything in spring game, scrimmages or vs Miami. At some point I'd figure we'd see him separate himself if he were as advertised.

I just think he's someone that put up numbers in a WR friendly offense and he's now taking a step up in competition. He's worthy of being on the team but not the best guy like people thought he'd be.

This thread is dumb, but not surprised ranters need something to bitch about on a weekly basis

I think it'd be cool for #7 to be a week to week number. You ball out for a game. You get to wear #7 the next game.

The former tiger greats care about it. Leonard Fournette, Patrick Peterson, Tyrann Mathieu, Jamal Adams and Ryan Clark’s opinions matter.

That’s what you focus on if you can’t cherish the championships.

I think he will have a good year. Burrow is gonna spread the ball around I think but 30-38 receptions for 450+ yards and possibly a couple returns is possible.

He'll make plays in both positions this year. I think he will get more catches vs. teams like AU and Bama which will get more pressure on Burrow. Quick slant rants and outs to get him out in space 1 on 1 will be key.
