I hope Berman's estate has to pay his family everything. I have no sympathy for drunk drivers.

So you can't issue a dead person a ticket? WTF. This is money talking right here. Its hard to tell a old person is drunk because they don't hoop and holler like a 30 year would, fricked up. I didn't realize somebody else died in the crash. Thought Berman's old lady ran off the road, which would of saved a life.

So I need to pay attention to how many drinks 50 people are consuming vs one person having personal responsibility? Par for 2018 America.

With modern POS systems it isn't really that difficult unless everyone in the place is paying as they go.

A responsibility to the patron, not others.

Tough shite, go mourn him. He was 87 and living on borrowed time anyway. Money from a restaurant won't bring him back.

I don’t really see how this is a sports story.

So, killing someone only matters if they are under a certain age?

So you don’t think someone should be allowed to get drunk in a bar now?
According to legal expert Ron White, getting drunk in a bar is within one's rights.
I was drunk in a bar! They, threw me into public! I don't want to be drunk in public! I wanna be drunk in a bar, which is perfectly legal!

In Louisiana at least, it's technically illegal to serve alcohol to someone who is impaired. Now, how do you know they're impaired? If you're a bartender and a waitress rings in a drink order, you have no idea the inebriation level of the customers. If someone comes up to the bar and orders 3 or 4 beers for their friends, you don't know if their friends are fricked up. Some people are going to look drunk after a few drinks, other people can drink all night and not show outward signs.
I only cut off one guy while I was bartending, and he was stumbling, slurring his speech, visibly intoxicated. I actually poured him one beer that I probably shouldn't have, then told the other bartender that he was going to have to be cut off when I noticed the guy stumbling away. He came back a few minutes later and asked for two more beers, told him I couldn't serve him. He probably just had someone else come buy him a beer later and kept on drinking anyway. Not much I can do about that.

Not to mention she's a woman. She probably wasn't even going up to the bar to get the drinks.

Fat chance I'll ever drive past retirement, not with Uber already here and driverless cars coming.

Thats stupid and only because they have deeper pockets than 99.9% of the people that they “over serve”

I’m sorry for that but that doesn’t mean they should be able to sue a restaurant
