families living in a a 20 year old 3 color Malibu, a VW Rabbit worth $50. and a 25 year old Ranger Pickup with the hood missing. Two of them parked in front of the house next door and one in front of my daughter and SIL's house on the curb. It's Sunday and they ate breakfast and lunch on the curb of the sidewalk in front of my Daughter's home and anywhere from 2 to 6 of them have washed and worked on the vehicles all day. 4 families affliated with a rental house next door. All these houses are $550 to 650K price range. A standard residential community 50 or so miles N of LA. The Mexicans/Central Americans can squat in any un-gated neighborhood they can drive too. And there are old $150. beaters some jacked up parked end to end on both sides of the street. It's not just my child's house.

My daughter and SIL are out here since he is assigned to the John Stennis (carrier) as a pilot and my wife is helping take care of my grand child who is 10 days old. They paid $595K for this home and bought it instead of renting since even a small rental was $3500. mo. He home port is Point Magu and he will be here another year likely. He is an O-3 in the Navy and my child is an account executive with a hospital consulting co. She works from home on her computer so they both have solid middle class incomes and careers. How did it all get this screwed up up? To the point where young people who have done everything right, worked diligently and paid over a half million (for a 1550 sq ft home) have to live in a ghetto. BTW wife and daughter just went out to eat and had to ask them to back the Rabbit up so they could get out. Had breakfast at a bagel place this AM and they have 2 bathrooms, women and any sex. Left the bathroom door unlocked hoping some gal walked in while I whipped it around shaking the dew off my lily. F Ca although it is beautiful up this 101 N and F all you liberals in the ear. My daughter has to live here so I can't go out and rip them for the sandwich wrappers, etc scattered about on her lawn.
