I always felt the third one felt like a direct to DVD movie. I could see them having Charlie return as the new coach of District 5 with some cameos sprinkled throughout. Maybe some of the new Ducks would be the kids of the original cast.

Not a movie but maybe a tongue-in-cheek TV series like Cobra Kai.

I really didn't like how in 2 and 3 Charlie and company couldn't function unless their mascot was the Ducks. frick off you little shite.

The premise behind the ducks becoming team USA made no sense. Aside from that, it was a fun movie.

Fulton: Sorry guys. I don’t have my shot anymore. I gave up hockey to be a super whiny law partner to a blind crime fighting vigilante who dresses up like the devil.

No part of that movie makes much sense. Iceland is a world super power. Trinidad has a team. Black kids in South Central are obsessed with street hockey. The actor playing Dean Portman is under the age of 30. There are top notch youth players in Texas and Florida. A girl is the best youth goalie in the country. There is a national audience for youth hockey. The tournament is played in Los Angeles in the summer.

All of those are even more absurd than the Ducks being the core of the team.

But it was fun to watch as a kid.

Get the writers from Friday Night Lights & make it a drama series. I might watch that.

he certainly didn't grow up to be some enforcer looking dude like 10-year-old me thought he would.

And neither did his fellow bash brother

But Connie...

What? Winning a Minnesota peewee district championship more than qualifies you to represent the entire country in an international tournament.

To be fair, that’s not how or why they were selected. Bombay was picked to head up Team USA and pick the roster, and he chose the team he coached to a district championship.

I'm all for it.

It can be another "soft reboot" like so many other franchises are getting.
