I wonder if you feel the same way about movies? You've never been to one of those comic book based features, have you?

Same way about cell phone companies? Youre more interested in those regional carriers, because all people here about are the biggest carriers, right?

And oh Lord, don't get you started on cars. Why no ads about those Australian babies, or those sweet Indian cars, amirite?

Its the nature of the beast, dude. Familiarity breeds contempt. As long as those teams are on top, that's who will garner the most attention. The secret to their success

Clemson was a laughingstock for years. "Clemsoning" was a thing. I'm kind of enjoying their time at the big boy table and all the good press that comes with it. Dabo is a great coach.

Kinda agree. Those teams deserve the most coverage because they've earned it, but it seems like everyone just regurgitates the same talking points. I used to record every episode of College Football Live and wake up early on Saturdays to watch College Gameday but now they always talk about the same 5 teams basically. And they spend way too much time talking about off-the-field stuff. The last time I watched they spent 30 minutes talking about Baker Mayfield planting the flag on Ohio State's logo. Who cares? Talk about football.

Wish they would at least do conference-by-conference position breakdowns or predict each team's season or something interesting instead of drama.

A little more specifically, their recruiting was bad to begin with then Charlie Weis blew a bunch of scholarships on kids who didn’t qualify or otherwise see the field.

As a result they have less than a full set of scholarship players on the team, which contributes to why they are so bad. I believe they had fewer than an FCS team at one point.

ESPN obsession with being a PR machine for the Pete Carroll USC teams and the Nick Saban Alabama teams is what is bad about college football. If you removed that it would be much better. Those coaches were already going to make those teams great; yet, you have ESPN just fueling polling bias and supporting their recruiting making them even more formidable.

Ohio State and all the big10 teams are in the news for all the wrong reasons. Time to implode.

Which is why the P5 need to form their own association, since the G5 schools will never have a chance to win.

3 division one levels would be ideal.

P5
G5
FCS

I think they should do a little more in depth coverage for some of the G5 conferences, particularly the American and Mountain West conferences. These are usually solid leagues that don't get much respect outside the P5

I'm totally with you on this OP. And to the people saying "beat them and it'll stop," you are missing the point. We don't want them to only talk about 4 different teams either. There is an entire college football season ahead of us and they are literally already talking about who is gonna make the playoffs and how they'll play out. There is a month from the conference championship til the playoff to talk about that. Now is the time to celebrate college football as a whole, they should be doing stories from all across the cfb nation, there are plenty of good ones to go around. Instead they just do Tua vs Jalen Hurts for the 1,000th time since spring practice started.

Absolutely

Why wouldn't you? I actually don't know a lot about how their team is gonna be built this year and how many starters they are returning. Not sure if they were doing well last season until they lost a starter or anything like that.if they made any coaching changes in the offseason. There is so much id be interesting in hearing about more than "i predict bama and clemson will both make the playoff"

Surely there are some CFB podcasts that deal with CFB as a whole.

There are, but they really don't go that deep into specific schools. I'd like a show on tv that travels to all the different schools with footage from practices and the campus and shite like that
