You'd figure seeing the emotion of relatives of gunshot victims would really want to proactively do something to end the violence.

But, the government dependent types expect the government to fix the problem, when the key to fixing the problem is in the hands of the people.
You've got to take care of your own, and if everyone does this, the problem can be solved.
