Worchester sucks.

Newport is great but I think it’s appropriately rated so I wouldn’t say it fits the OPs question.

It has a reputation for being a crime infested hell hole for a lot of people. It's legit awesome 6 months of the year.

It has a great booze and food scene. It's located in a scenic location and offers a lot of nearby outdoor activities. Decent local music scene. It is within easy driving distance to Nashville, Atlanta, Birmingham, Charlotte, etc., - it's basically the center of a bunch of interstate spokes in the SE.

I was just going to post Des Moines. Iowa has such a dull reputation that people assume it’s a boring city but it’s a good place to live.

From a professional stand point, Chattanooga has the best internet infrastructure of any city in North America. Because of that, the local economy is booming.

Do you like mountains, white water rafting, or any other outdoor activities?
