Milwaukee is fricking fun.

Had a great time. And that was in the winter.

I agree with Milwaukee. I liked Cleveland when I visited; the Rock and Roll museum was cool.

I noticed that no one has said Albuquerque, and I agree that it’s actually over-rated.

Louisville is an absolute blast. They love drinking and good food there. That in and of itself is enough to win me over.

Milwaukee and Des Moines are also awesome when it's not winter.

These two cities are what every mid-sized city are now trying to model themselves after.

I can second Minneapolis and Greenville.

Madison, WI is also a really cool city that goes under the radar.

Been in Tampa for a decade now. It keeps getting better. Small but yet big at the same time.

Milwaukee turned out to be a lot cooler than I expected it to be. Stayed there for the Wisconsin game last year and really ended up enjoying the trip.

My other sleeper Tulsa

Lived in 7 different towns/cities since graduating college. If I had to live in one the rest of my life, it would be Tulsa....hands down. Very livable place with low cost of living. Some small town charm with big city amenities.

May have missed it, but I don’t think anyone mentioned Asheville, NC.

Asheville sucks and no one should ever visit or buy property in the area.

If it's so cool, driving distance to these other cities wouldn't be a positive. You wouldn't say "man, Chattanooga is so cool. It's only a short drive to atlanta."

Perhaps using that as a 'cool' factor was incorrect, but it's damn convenient if you have friends and family spread about the eastern SE.
