I haven't followed this thread that closely, mostly just checking out the pictures, has there been a cost breakdown?
Looks great, BTW!

So that’s as full as she will get right?
Get you in a flatbboat and lets see how deep she is. Silence some naysayers
Also this thread needs to go for a few years and update on the size of the cats

Yes, could still build the spill way at the far end up another 6" to 1'. Just wanted to see how the pond looked in relation to the point and trees before building it up any more.

Word. Planning a maiden voyage. I'm working on obtaining a little two man paddle boat from a family member for my kids. They've had it in their shed for years doing nothing.
Looks like this.

First off, a comparison from yesterday morning to this morning.
As discussed, we raised the spillway levee about 18” and installed an 8” drain pipe. The last 24 hours has been a hell of a test. It performed as it should.
It doesn’t get much more level than that...
Output... thinking about adding another couple 10’ pieces of pvc to it and covering that whole low spot with dirt to drive and make that turn over the output pipe. It’s been fun playing with it.

You have an emergency spillway? You might need it.

Would definitely add some more pipe and get the overflow away from the new levee.
Props on getting the longhorn in the picture too

It can still run around the spillway. The pond is in East TX about 30 minutes from Shreveport. We got quite a few inches the last 24 hours and the pipe kept up. I was very concerned but it did what it was supposed to do.

A few bags of concrete to make a concrete outlet channel would work as well.
Not saying you need to think about this but I know of ponds that took surface water out like yours does and then changed over to sucking water from the bottom of the pond and had that help with summer o2 levels.

We also stocked it yesterday. 375 channel cat, 175 chinquapin and 7.5 lbs more fat head minnows. Of the 375 channel cat we got 2 albinos seen in the first pic. Will be cool to see if we ever catch them.
