I think he's saying who cares about if ranking change, because adding talent is a plus regardless, and this guy definitely looks to have that

No big deal, actually pretty funny, I had just finished cleaning some vines off my fence, walking around the house listening to the video not realizing how loud my phone was lol

We are currently 50/50 with Rutgers in crystal ball predictions; but the trend has been towards LSU ever since he finished his Rutgers visit a few weeks ago. That would seem to suggest we have a possible lead at the moment. I think if he maintains his LSU official visit, then that is a good sign that Wade and staff have worked out a plan to make numbers work and have somewhat sold Hyatt on that plan.
If he is set on redshirting anyway, then he has got to like his situation at LSU. Would have a year to rehab with college training staff, while working out with a very talented team and learning Wade’s system. Then he is ready to step in next year on a little more open roster and having a leg up on any other incoming players.

How does someone reclassify? Has he graduated HS or not?

You answered your own question basically, have to graduate high school early.
I imagine he was close to getting required credits end of last school year, so took a few classes this summer and got his degree.

Per his 247 profile, he has some solid offers, including:
Oregon
Louisville
Seton Hall
USC
Georgia Tech
South Carolina
Vandy
Pitt
St John's

I gotcha. I just figured they'd use the terminology "graduating early" rather than "reclassify as 2019".

Hyatt is a better shooter than Rachal or Sims, but I would hate to lose Rachal's toughness and his ability and willingness to play defense.
Sims just keeps hanging in there, but overall roster talent would be a little stronger with Hyatt.

It's all terminology.
If you just said graduating early, people generally think enroll 1 semester early as they graduated 1 semester early from high school - this is what's common in football. Because the football season ends before the 2nd semester of school
In basketball when people graduate early, generally speaking they do it a full year ahead of schedule, since basketball season is dead middle of 1st and 2nd semesters, so they try and get in even earlier to make it for the start of a season at new school, but also not leave their high school in the middle of a season as well. To do this they have to totally reclassify a year for recruiting purposes.

Billy Embody just retweeted a Pitt journalist stating that Hyatt has cancelled his visit to Pitt; but is maintaining his LSU visit as of now. I believe that leaves LSU as his only visit left assuming he doesn’t add another.
With the reports of LSU trending, this could point to a likely LSU commitment on Aug. 10 from Hyatt.

I see. Thanks for the info.

Short answer - Yes
Long answer- LSU currently sits at 13 scholarship players and 2 walk on’s for this year. 13 schollys is max.
Assuming Hyatt would be on scholarship (regardless if he redshirts), then one of the current scholarship players would have to go. The consensus seems to be Rachal or Sims are the likely candidates. I don’t think Wade would risk the bad PR to just process them though, especially since, at least in Sims case, they have been participating in summer workouts. That part is debatable on Rachal as I have noted he has been inconspicuously missing from some pics of team during summer and not mentioned in any reports or staff interviews.
Only other way around it would be for Hyatt to come on as a preferred walk-on since he may redshirt. And if Wade is able to pull that off, well then you might as well go ahead and name him one of the best coaches ever (hyperbole intended) if he manages to talk a reclassified 4 star top 150 player to come as a preferred walk-on. Haha

I thought Rachal was just still recovering from surgery...

Someone else has suggested that, and it may be true, I don’t know really. We are just speculating he is a possibility b/c no one else really makes sense outside of maybe Sims.
But I will say that him recouperating shouldn’t have affected him being present for the presentation a couple weeks ago from the sportscaster that spoke to the team about domestic violence. He was only person (including coaches) that was missing from the picture.

I think we land him. And I'm almost certain we will land Dante in the 2020 cycle. WW is TIGHT with his coaches, and I've been told we are the team to beat.

I'm guessing that means Sims is asked to walk on or transfer?
Looking at the roster, I just don't see anyone else.
