I don't feel right if a control scheme is not inverted vertically.
I've been doing this since x-wing vs tie fighter for sure and possibly as early as goofing on flight sims on my dad's Apple IIe.
Anybody else on this board find "normal" controls impossible to use? I need validation that I'm not the only guy that pissed his friends off taking turns with couch co-op back in the day.

I feel like a damn fool trying to play "normal". It makes no sense to me and is completely counter-intuitive.

Inverted on the Y, normal on the X.

Yes, I always use inverted Y-axis. I played a lot of flight simulators back in the 90’s (Aces of the Pacific, anyone?), so I imagine that’s why.

Inverted X-axis seems really weird to me, though. Why? How? Why?

Couldn't remember if c buttons were inverted by default on goldeneye. If so, that definitely explains why I'm so set in my inverted ways.

Folks showing their old age with their preference for inverted controls

I’ve never used them beyond Goldeneye but I can see why people do

I used inverted with a controller, but normal with keyboard/mouse.

X-wing vs tie fighter is what I always blamed. I try to explain to my friends it is like controlling the back of your head vs the front. When you pull back the back of your head you look up, always makes sense to me.

I'm the same way, Goldeneye was the only inverted I did but I have a lot of friends, like most in this thread, use inverted due to flight games

Another inverted-Y user checking in. I can't play non-inverted. My brain just doesn't work that way. I blame the old X-Wing and Tie Fighter games, too.

Top Gun on NES got me started as well as any other flight game. Can't function at all using "normal" controls

Am I the only one that notices certain games are backwards with what is considered normal and inverted?
