It is really going to suck for the top clubs who are loaded with international players. These guys will be out a month playing in the WC and have to come straight back in to the PL.

It is a stupid fricking concession to make just to have the tournament in Qatar.

I'm also curious how it will impact the actual cohesiveness of the WC squads. Teams usually have about a month or so to practice and play friendlies to get ready. There are two possible situations for the preparation for the WC.

1. Teams just go right into the tournament straight from their clubs.
2. Players will have to leave their clubs sooner than the actual WC dates to start getting ready.

So, we will be left with either stripped club teams for longer than a month or WC squads even more out of sync than normal.

I spent seven months there
From July to February

Even if every match was played at night during the summer it would still be way to hot and humid in the summer

When i landed that night it was 103 out with 100% humidity

The games should be at similar times and it will only be for one or two Saturdays. The first game should happen before CFB gets going for the day, so it will really only be a couple of matches, at most, that overlap.

They are going to have to have water breaks every 15 min.

I can't get over how stupid this will be. Really, what good reason is there for having the tournament in Qatar?

I think once USA got theirs, it pretty much assured Qatar they would keep it.

Now, if your looking for a hail mary country to steal it, would be England.

England could host no problem. I am skeptical on Qatar hosting as well. I bet more dirt comes out.

Now that 2018 is over it's time to put up or shut up when it comes to the rumblings of Qatar being stripped. Something needs to be done in the next year.

Yep. The humidity in Qatar is the worst I’ve ever experienced.

That said, Doha is fricking lit, and if anyone has a chance to go to this World Cup, you should.

I lived in Mississippi for 15 years or so and have felt worse. I couldn't believe it either but there I was, in central Delhi contemplating my terrible decision making.
