Any of you OB baws driving the new 2017/18 Ford F-250 SD? I am in the market for a new pickup and would like to know what your likes or dislikes are for the new F-250. Also, if you have any dealer recommendations please let me know as well. Any insight is much appreciated!

I have a 17 F250 CC FX4. I bought it in April of 17 and it has 31k on it.
So far the truck has been flawless. The 6.7 has more power than anything I’ve driven before. The fuel mileage is 18 ish on the highway and 16.5-17 in town with the 3.55 rear end . It pulls my 52 hp tractor/fel/cutter/ trailer with no strain at all. The only complaint comes from my kids and that’s the height. They raised them for the 17 Model year. It’s stock with 18” tires and still a struggle for the little ones with steps. I’ve enjoyed it tremendously and plan on having it a long time. I purchased mine at Natchez ford in Natchez Ms. and they were fairly easy to deal with. We did everything over text message. I’d purchase there again .

Can't help with the 250 but I do have a 150 with 3.0 PS ordered

You are welcome. I think you will enjoy the truck. My only other Ford was an 07 with the 6 liter. There is no comparison between the 2. That 07 had what I thought was power. Nope....not even in the same league as this one.

Nice... my current truck is an '06 duramax. Its been a great truck however, I really like the options on the new F250 along with the larger cab due to family needs. I've been looking hard at the 6.7 lariats, just trying to nail down a dealer. I've contacted a couple via email to negotiate pricing. We'll see what happens.

i guy i work with as a 17 with the 6.7. i think he has 45k on it. He has a leveling kit with 37's and still gets over 18 mpg on long trips. he said it is night and day difference from the 6.4 he had prior to this one.

Solid trucks. The only thing I would do is invest in a fuel water separator and filter. The 6.7's don't like nasty fuel. I plumb my own, using the large CAT filters and filter bases.

He’s lying to you unless he drives 57 MPH on the interstate or has it deleted with a programmer.

i went from stock tire size to 295/65's and i notice a decent mpg drop already. don't get me wrong though, they get great mileage for a diesel. I was constantly getting usually between 19 ish-22 mpg on road trips depending upon how weighed down i was etc when i was stock size. I've had it deleted for about a year now.

I have a XLT. I’m poor.

My buddy switched over from a Duramax to an '18 F250 and claims to never go back to GM.
He's obnoxious about how much he loves his damn Ford.
So there's that.

Fords don't get much if any mpg gains with a delete and tune...perhaps even a decrease in some cases. Ask me how I know lol.
That being said it makes a shite ton of power.
I have a 15 w/35 inch toyo r/t's, deleted and tuned and can eek out 18 mpg on a long trip at 70 mph.

Bought a 2017 6.7 Lariat 4x4 a couple of weeks ago. Love the truck. Drove it to Destin the day after I bought and got 18 MPG. My truck was a new 2017. I worked the dealer down to 16% off MSRP. I had an in and out trade on my Tundra.
There are a few 2017 Lariats still on the lots. Natchez Ford has 2 2017 Lariats left.
FYI you can get the Ford extended warranty at cost by going to
Flood Ford ESP
I bought the 5 year 100K Premium care for $1700 from the dealer. They matched the Flood Ford price. The warranty is from Ford and not third party and can be used at any Ford dealership.
The new 2017 F250 basically has the same Cab as F150's. Any improvements that will go into F150's the F250 gets too. They moved the body up 2.5 inches to get rid of the hump in the crew cab. You can run 35's stock on the 2017 and up models.

Be wary of the fuel you put in it.
We’ve had to replace 2 fuel systems in our work trucks.

I drain my fuel water separator every couple weeks just to be safe.

U can run 35x12.50s on stock suspension on the older ones too. Zero rubbing. That being said I do wish I had that bigger cab. Too close to being paid off and too much stuff done to it already to upgrade.
