For those wondering, stud fee can reach 3k. Now I am intrigued.

Love mine who is almost two. He is smart as hell and indefatigable. A buddy owns his brother and taught it to retrieve birds. They both love the water.

that may be the best term ive seen used to describe them.
it's insane how smart they are. when i was younger, we had one that would always jump in my dad's spot in bed when he got up to dress for work (7am). On weekends and shite when he slept past 7, sophie would go and ring the bell at the back door like she needed to go outside, my dad would get up to go open the door, then she would just walk back into the room and jump in his spot. they're good problem solvers.

both poodles and doodles make great hunting dogs. we sent ours to one of the best bird dog trainers in the state and she did a great job.
when we went to drop them at her house, she had a big row of a dozen or so fenced kennels with Brittanys inside going wild barking and shite. woman walked outside, waved her hand dismissively, and they all shut the frick up instantly i swear she must've taught em that just to show customers how good she is.

I remember you are a poodle purist.

I would take it off your hands but my wife would leave me.

He is a golden. I asked the wife. He has nuts. What kind of breeding fee am I looking at?
I get pick of the litter and I’m going to try to get 1500 or so for it.

They are fricking awesome. Can be pretty wild like a golden depending on if it has more golden or more poodle but I love them

They definitely DO shed.
That’s a myth.

I have researched a bit. Seems all or nothing depending on if the golden or poodle genes are dominate.

Basic white bitch breed of the late 2010s. I swear to God every mid-late twenties newly wed chick wants a golden doodle and will spend over 5k on a fricking dog without blinking.
I'm sure they're great dogs but just know every one is judging the shite out of you if you're newly married.

I am not. But I do like the 5k part. I might whore his arse out.

This one chick was telling me about her dog and when I asked how much he cost, she wouldn't tell me because she knew I was gonna make fun of her. I stopped guessing at 7k when she said "more".

I'm not reading through 5 pages of pit bull owners ragging on this breed.
I've had one for damn near 10 years and its big, eats a lot, and shits like an elephant. But I swear this dog understands english. Its the smartest animal I've ever met aside from a dolphin. Give it love and compassion and it'll return it back 10x.
It adores kids and even lets them lay on it like a throw pillow. It doesn't shed, and is very aware of who is part of the family/friends and becomes cautious around strangers until we relax.
Its an animal highly in tuned to your actions, so be cool around it and it'll be cool back. It gets scared during storms, paces when electricity goes out, and smiles for family photos. It even likes curvy girls.
It'll become a part of your family if you accept it like it wants to be accepted. They're a service dog and are bred to please and love when they feel like they're doing their job.
Cons - It needs its arse shaved about once every 6 weeks or you get poo cakes built up on its entire back side.

Haven’t read all of the replies, but I took in my brother’s goldendoodle when he was 3. He’s a great dog. He won’t be a hunter because he’s scared of everything. I guess that’s the poodle in him, but he retrieves like nobody’s business. We leave him out all day long (10 hrs or so) and has never had an accident, or, chewed anything besides his toy.
He’s very protective of my wife and will give a subtle growl if anyone approaches too quickly, but turns into mush when they get close. He absolutely loves everyone, and is great with kids alothough he was never raised around any. He does shed slightly because the roomba picks up hair, but you don’t notice it around the house.
I hate designer dogs, but he was free and my wife loves him, so, he got to stay.
Oh, and yeah, the dogs get big.

Mine doesn’t need it like that. We go about 2.5 months between shavings.
When you do get it shaved, specify that they not shave his tail. They shaved mine’s tail and that thing turned into a whip. He finally hit it against enough stuff that he got a blood blister and popped it and was slinging blood all over the place. That was fun to clean up.
