afaik they are a fairly healthy 'breed' though since they are somewhat large I assume they have the chances of the same issues that plague most large breeds.
They aren't assholes. Goldens are some of the most loveable dogs on earth and poodles are extremely smart and loveable as well.
Chewing is largely a product of training. If it's a puppy then crate train it so it's not left to its own devices when y'all aren't there.
