Who here has never left the state of Louisiana?

I’m sure there are plenty of people who never left the the state of Louisiana before. When they talk about going north they mean a trip to Shreveport.

Shreveport is Texas though

I don't think I've ever met anyone that hasn't.

I know people that have only ever gone from Florida to Texas and that's it.

Kennebunkport and Lake Winnipesaukee are nice.

That’s a really depressing thought. And that’s not Louisiana-centric. Just the thought of never venturing outside of your home state is sad.

In 2018 this should be a complete anomaly. I understand not having flown until adulthood and even if you never fly, but with interstates and how available cars are, never having left the state should be a shock.
What is really interesting is before the internet if you wanted to learn about, lets say, Paris, you had to read about it and only were able to see a limited amount of pictures. Now you could essentially see every inch of the city just via the internet. I'm sure traveling back in the day was a much more "holy shite" experience when you got to places you'd never been before.

How many boudreaux’s do you think are on here.... you talking about visiting another state or living in another state. If somebody has never left this state then I’m sure they don’t have internet

Why would I ever need to leave Louisiana? I love it here.

I met a few people who attended LSU and upon going to Baton Rouge, it was the biggest city they had been to.

I'm sure some dtb coonasses could say that. I've met plenty of people in Louisiana that have never left the south

I knew a girl in high school who was 18 and had never left Louisiana. I'm not even sure if she had been to New Orleans.

Same here, circa 1997. One baw said he loved his dorm in Kirby Smith because he could "see the lights of the big city" from there. I don't recall where he was from, but he was a hayseed.
Other than that, I don't know anyone who at least hasn't crossed over into Mississippi, Arkansas, or Texas.
