Mornin' baws,

I've developed a real ugly steep and aggressive swing that has gutted wedge and iron play. I can salvage driver. What's yer best tip of advice?

TIA

Without a video, tough to tell you what to correct. A steep swing can be from an over the top move, incorrect takeaway (too inside or outside), dipping of shoulders, reverse picot, etc. Really no way to tell you what's going to fix it without seeing a video.

Take the club back more to the outside, make sure your position at the top isn’t “across the line” (pointing to the right of your target line), start your downswing from the ground up, making sure you are rotating your hips all the way through. If you’re doing all of this properly, you should feel your hands, and thus the club dropping slightly when they start down. That will shallow everything out.

Get a shoe box and place it just outside your target line several inches behind the ball. That will keep you from coming over the top

Appreciate the tips.

Top Speed Golf is legit. I am having a hard time with the hands at the top of the backswing... having trouble with the letting them fall behind me a little.

For the first move down, think about moving your right elbow towards the ball. There is probably some element of your hips moving towards the golf ball (early extension) as well. If your body is in that position you have to get steep to make contact

So, I've busted out the medicus and I think the coming in to steep was a result of a sneaky reverse pivot. I was trying to get more rotation and started tilting towards target. Guessing that's a reverse pivot... anyway, thanks for the contributions.

Best it was ever explained to me:
“In transition, don’t let your right arm/elbow/hand go into jack off mode” Assuming you are right handed, of course. Gotta lead with the right elbow, not the right hand/forearm
