Yeah, he'd certainly qualify... Would rather him on the bench than lallana

Why Lallana is even making the bench at this point baffles me, has to be some promising young player in the academy

Harry Wilson, Ryan Kent, Bobby fricking Duncan for Christ's sake.

OR HOW ABOUT XERDAN SHAQIRI and NABY KEITA??

No doubt we missed some chances, but what the frick, if we were going to trot out slow old Englishmen, could it at least have been Daniel Sturridge??

That said, and as much as it pains me to say it, City came back from a 7 pt hole...we can come back from 1...

Not in this shitty form. Something fairly drastic needs to change with the front 3.

How do you go from that 5-0 thumping to totally shitting the bed against a garbage Everton side with everything on the line.

We're still choke artists. Prove me wrong.

I'd put Salah back in the middle for a while, just to see if we can get him going... I'm definitely not pushing the panic button yet. City are going to have far more fixtures and have a tougher PL road anyways.

Front 3 WILL improve. Adding Ox and Keita getting more time should help them out. I don't understand the decision not to start Naby, other than Klopp wanting to ensure that he's fresh for this weekend's game and the tie in Munich.

City will drop a point or three, we just have to be fricking dominant and a bit lucky going forward.

They will have to drop more than that. I don't see us winning every game the rest of the way.

Can't be putting all of our eggs in the Ox basket. He still hasn't played in 11 months.

The Fekir whiff has hurt us all season. We HAVE to get a creative MF to help unlock these buses. Ox is going to be huge but maybe not this campaign, an awful lot to ask.

IMO his most dangerous position is on the wing. Problem is he can’t finish with his right foot to save his life.

plus.. he isn't very creative.. more power and pace! I'll be glad to have him back, though.. adds a different dimension..

I don't disagree in terms of passing, but I do think that Ox's brilliance is in the intelligence behind his runs and finding space both with and without the ball.

Honestly, I think one thing that could help us unlock these teams is more probing runs from center backs when those teams are parking the bus.

Matip created several chances from his initial runs because they don't take him as a threat and just let him through essentially. If we can have more of that, it adds another layer to our attack, similar to if Marcelo was playig at CB and still made those runs forward.

Just a thought. We are a very totem-poled side. Back line is strong when healthy. Midfield lacks creativity but is based on speed/power for pressing. Top three have all the talent in the world, but can't do it all by themselves.

This, this, and this. I was going to comment a couple of weeks ago about this but didn't have the time. With a defense that is very organized, the center halves have to carry the ball into the opposing half to make someone close them down opening up space for others. In doing this, the other CB and one of the FB's MUST be alert and ready to track back in case the ball is lost to prevent a very dangerous counter. Without a very gifted playmaker in the side, this has to be the approach.

Isn't that what Matip does.. probably better than any CB in the league?

Yeah, and it works because we have the best defender on the world.

He does every now and then. It needs to happen more against tightly packed defenses. When the opposition has very little attacking intent, we have to force them out of their shape, plain and simple.........or get Messi to unlock the defense on his own

What are you talking about? He did it all game against Everton and the game before.

Our forwards are the problem. They haven't been converting. Its as simple as that.

Have to be lethal and take your chances if you're serious about winning the title.

Man U does it better than anyone and they're legit dangerous to make noise in the UCL and should easily make top 4.

All game

Yeah, the front three are misfiring but when you rely on just them to score it's going to happen. We are getting no goals from midfield, that's a big fricking issue.

Doesn't seem to be bothering City or United. All their forwards are getting goals.

Sane, Sterling and Aguero are covering their goals over the last month or so.

The front three not converting is a much bigger issue, especially the way we are setup.
