So tonight a buddy and I are talking and starting to make plans for the trip. We both turn 40 with then a few weeks of each other and this is part of our b day celebration. Wives will be tagging along as well. Go online to see if it’s possible to go ahead and book a room in Austin. Everything comes up as fully booked? Did we totally miss the boat for rooms being released? Hell its 14,5 months in advance I gotta imagine many rooms haven’t been released. Anyone got anything ?

Jesus that has potential to be a critical game for Herman and O.

Book a room in Houston because that's where this game is going to be played.

Doubt it, as it's a home/home...

Ole Joe will have an extension ready for O to sign before the game.

I'm making jokes. I really hope this game stays in Austin. I've always wanted to see a game there and I can't imagine much better than LSU vs. the (hopefully) resurging Longhorns in Austin.

Ah...

Yeah, since I live here in Austin, I'm really hoping that it stays here. It would be a great experience to keep the games on both campuses.

With most hotels you can’t book more than 12 months in advance. The rooms aren’t fully booked, they aren’t yet available to be booked.

Stay anywhere downtown or near the airport. It’s all within a close reasonable distance to the campus.
UT campus is around 24th Street. The main downtown streets are 2nd-10th

You could stay in Bastrop about 40 minutes southeast of Austin and make the drive up on game day. Or similarly any other Austin suburb

Traffic isn't that bad until you hit I-35 and approach UT campus

What are the odds the home/home winds up being NOLA/Houston/Dallas games instead of Austin/BR?

This game will for sure be played in Austin and hotels will be the least of your problems - LSU gets under 4,000 tickets and the demand will be unbelievable. I will be getting UT season tickets in order to get LSU because it will end up being the same price as getting this one game on the secondary market.

Their Oline and DLine still won’t be ready for the physical freaks their gonna see in this game. I’ll be there staying in the hill country at my cousins ranch, honest Texas fans see this as an ASSKICKING. SERIOUSLY. They need 2-3 more years to rebuild their interior, they won’t be ready

Have you flown into Austin? "Near the Airport is within a close reasonable distance." Again, have you been to Austin?????
