Whats twin 250s or 300s running now a days for repower?
I recently repowered my Bay Bolt with a digital F300 Yamaha w/ 5 years warranty, I priced the Suzuki 300 and the Yamaha dealer matched that price @ $27,200 out the door.

Man, i hate to tell ya but you got bend over hard. Zuks with digital controls, prop & install are going for $20k all day everyday.

He didnt get bent over. He got the yammy for what it usually costs.
If he would've got the zuke for that price, then yeah he got hosed.

I’m sure they ride like every other aluminum monohull, loud and rough.

Ive spent probably a thousand hrs in a 24 and 32. They're badass tough boats but ride as rough as every other aluminum hull IMO. Never been in an AA though.

Exactly. Thats what I am wondering. Why pay the prices if they ride anything like its predecessor. But I guess no one has actually rode in one.

Not from the 2 Suzuki dealers I got quotes from. The two I got were almost identical and I was very happy to go back with a Yamaha for the same price.

A gravois floats, and its tough. I said this the other day about a panga and immediately people wanted to fight and alleged I'd never ridden in a panga. I owned a 25 gravois, any high end fiberglass boat will eat it for lunch unless you need to ram oil rigs or something. Just to get in another shot at a panga, I'd think I've ridden them in more separate oceans than most on here. Any high end fiberglass boat will eat them for lunch.

i never been in a gravios but ive been in a 24 AA w/ a 300hp. crossed decade in a solid 20-25mph wind and 2' (true 2'. i was with a tug company owner who used to be a charter offshore) The AA ate it up. Not saying it was better than a glass boat but you couldnt tell it was aluminum.
My uncle has a 26 he uses in GI. never been in it but i know they fish it hard. Uncles boat

What would be Comparable to a 28 AA with twin 300's? (as in same setup) I cant think off the top of my head a fiberglass manufacture who makes this setup. ( low sided, twin Power pole, large duals, ~28')
This is a very Louisiana specific boat I believe.
Maybe the Blackwood 27. thats all i can think of. The layout of the boat suck though.
The main purpose of this boat is to catch trout, then head south for a quick snapper trip. If its rough, Im taking my (their) 40+ ft boat out.

a 28 ft boat with twins a powerpole and a trolling motor is quite crazy. i would love one. perfect louisiana coastal boat.
won't catch me paying 175k for one though. not worth it for fishing 10 weekends a year, at most.

I'm going to start building a boat soon and this is pretty much exactly what my concept looked like. Awesome looking boat

They have some that essentially do the same thing in the 26 range.
Calcutta
Yellowfin
Andros
Panga Marine

This. Any comparable glass boat will be much smoother and quieter than an aluminum, it just is what it is.
If you want a boat you can beat up, kiss rigs, etc aluminum is great, but for a smoother, more comfortable ride, a glass boat will run circles around it, idc what the brand is.

27 seavee- is comparable, but only rated of 400HP. Layout also sucks.
