re: Pittsburgh protestors shutting down Interstate

If this is from that video another poster posted earlier this week, then yes it looks like a very bad shoot. After all evidence comes out, and if it is what it looked like (shot in the back, running away, no gun flashing), then yes count me in as calling to at least get a grand jury (the indictment return doesn't matter--the process needs to happen) and have the officer fired.

This blocking the interstate stuff is so moronic and selfish. You're not just merely inconveniencing a few folks. What if someone is being rushed to the emergency room for a pregnancy or a serious injury and they die because of the delay? They deserve to get run over

As stated earlier, I have not really followed this story but I did hear earlier that the reason the car was stopped was for a drive-by shooting where the car matched the description. Victim was shot at 9 times with a .40 cal handgun. Cops found 2 guns in the vehicle after the fact. I know everyone deserves their day in court but if this person was involved in a drive-by shooting so he decided to run from police, I don't feel the least bit sorry for him or his family. If he was involved in that at his age, it won't get any better and he will do NOTHING for society. Again, this is all IF. He should not have ran, period but that shouldn't be a death sentence. The family and those "protesting" will never admit his wrong in all of this though which caused this to happen.

I'm with you. I feel 0 sympathy for the victim.
But this cop should be canned and spend some time behind bars for denying this criminals day in court. And taking justice in his own hands.
And the protesting is more of the Left pushing the silly agenda that brown skinned people get treated unfairly in America. When statistics show that's horseshite.

supposedly PA has a law that lets them shoot to kill if they think the perp is going to harm someone else. still a stretch but we shall see. stupid perp and stupid cop.

This stems from the death of the 17 year old, Antwone Rose Jr. (no relation to Pete) where he was gunned down in the line of fire by a police officer in Pittsburgh.

Yeah. My wife was watching Today this morning and the anchor described him as “gunned down after fleeing a traffic stop.”
No mention of the whole just fled the scene of a shooting or anything. What a joke.

Saw that at the Dealership this morning. Freaking ridiculous.

Completely just disregarding the facts to paint a bullshite narrative.
I still don’t know if it was a good or bad shoot, but saying the entire story of what we know happened doesn’t mean you have to make an opinion.
Facts we know:
Car exactly like the one he was in was reported as fleeing the scene of a shooting.
He gets out and runs, gets shot.
2 firearms found in the car.
None of that says it was a good shoot, so news anchors don’t have to be dishonest in their reporting just to try to paint the cops in a bad light.

Was this kid involved in the driveby shooting or his car was just similar?

Why can’t they lawfully protest without blocking streets, especially damn interstates, causing all kinds of public safety hazards???

I assume that's what the cop in question was trying to figure out when he first initiated the stop

because that wouldn't grant them the national attention they desperately need/want.

I don't understand how the cops allow them to block the interstate for so long. Its a danger to the whole city doing that.

I would imagine if they have the guns from the car they'll be able to either match them with the bullets/casings from the earlier drive by or confirmed as not the weapon? It's incredibly unfortunate that anyone had to die but I will wait until all the facts are out to form an opinion on whether it was just or not.

**these are NOT facts of the case,,, just a hypothetical**
if things had gone as it should have...
cop on scene detains everyone in the car... radios to the investigators he's got a vehicle matching the suspect vehicle description
he finds the guns... he'll then find out from the investigators what caliber weapon was used in the original offense... if the two match... the detained person is then taken in for questioning and then the gun is taken to the forensics office to be tested against any bullets/casings found at the scene
