quote:Yeah, according to his post history he hasn't posted on the Poli Board since March when he was previously posting on it numerous times a day.
was wondering same thing. he has been banned there before.
I guess he couldn't contain himself any longer and had to start a thread critical of Trump here.
Edit: Last month on this board he claimed the Trump tax cuts benefited corporations in the amount of "trillions of dollars in cuts" and when I pointed out that corporations' total federal tax collections in 2017, the last year prior to the tax cuts, was less than $300 billion so "trillions" in tax cuts for them was impossible, he went on a personal attack diatribe. He also claimed wage growth under Trump has been non-existent and I linked to a recent article that said wage growth was the highest yearly wage growth in 8 years he really got pissed off.

Because no one wants to engage with you.
I disagree. I think no one can come up with anything. Trump has been viewed as a bit of a joke and clown for several decades in NY by most that know him for many years now. Couple of decades and well before he got into politics. U.S. banks quit lending to him a long time ago.
Trump was viewed as a huckster and conman but harmless. It was just dumb luck that he got pissed off and NBC not being willing to pay trump what they were because the apprentice was failing, causing trump to try to get back in the headlines and generate some publicity by saying he would run for president.
Who knew there were so many people willing to vote trump and make a mockery of the office.
Either way, there just is not much to say about him that is positive and that is why there is only the one response which is always the same and easily discredited - "but he is rich".

Well Trump inherited Obama's economy.
Nothing, and I mean nothing is ever the fault of that jug eared Kenyan for the left is it?
Where was Barry’s ‘Summer of Recovery’ years ago? And all that infrastructure spending?
I remember the Obama nut swingers blaming Bush for all the problems years into O’s presidency. Years.

he is just another over tax, over regulate economic idiot on the left. a hack. I am sure he was proud of obamas record regulations. record number on food stamps. record low labor participation rate. debt and spending. unaffordable obamacare. taxes. allowing terrible trade deals to continue. I could go on and on but these are things i am sure you already know.

Then you seriously need to broaden your horizons a bit, if that statement is true then you have been buried in a bunker with nothing but HuffPo and CNN for information, like both sides these days you are only choosing to process info that feeds your opinion, it is extreme confirmation bias.
See below

you two run in the same circles? You have no clue but reading it made you feel better

That was a Hill article that was debunked rather quickly but you ignored that part, did not fit your narative.

I highly doubt that deep down you believe a word of that, if you do then there is no hope for you.

The mockery started in '92 and no recent POTUS has reversed the course, the fact you are too obtuse to comprehend why people voted for Trump says far more about you than them. Hint, it had jack shite to do with any "ism", that is a shite sandwich being peddled by the left, as the same exaxt claim has been made about every R president since Ford you should be able to smell it by now.

Again put down HuffPo and look around, it is out there

Chinese investment in the United States has plummeted 92% this year
By Julia Horowitz June 20, 2018: 12:02 AM ET
Chinese investment in the United States nosedived in the first five months of 2018 amid mounting tensions between the world's two largest economies.
For years, Chinese companies pumped growing amounts of money into the United States, deepening ties between the countries.
But Chinese investment totaled only $1.8 billion between January and May. That's a 92% drop compared to the same period in 2017, and the lowest level in seven years, according to a report released Wednesday by Rhodium Group, a research firm that tracks Chinese foreign investment.

You are laughable, the company he inherited was worth a couple hundred million IRC. Do yourself a favor and look up the percentage of millionaires that become billionaires.
I'll give you a hint, its really fricking small.

Actually I think you are laughable. Couple of reasons:
1. He inherited a couple of hundred million. You tell me how many people who inherit a couple of hundred million become billionaires after several decades. Hint, I bet it is quite a few.
2. If you just put the money he inherited (a couple of hundred million) in an indexed mutual fund, a few decades ago, you would be a billionaire. Now this of course depends on when he took over for ole Fred. Trump claims he took over in the 1980s. As late as 1996, $200m would be over $1B today if it was merely stuck in a basic indexed mutal fund.
3. Starting from the same place, a monkey with its thumb in its arse for 25 years would have more than trump does right now and would not have lost a couple of billion of other people's money in the process.
4. From your "laughable" irrelevant and incorrect post, I assume you are not smart enough to do the asset - liability - money borrowed and not paid back exercise, so I won't even bother with that.

Has there even been any independent verification that he is as wealthy as he claims to be? Given all his blatant dishonesty, and how closely held his organization is, I question whether he even is a billionaire.

It's not like it was a couple hundred million cash dude.
I'll say this, you attack Trump morally, but its not like the person you supported has some moral high ground to stand on.
Personally, I don't really care about a lot of that shite. Sleep with who you want to sleep with and be an a-hole if you want as long as you do a good job, but you can't use that argument against Trump and then not acknowledge it for someone you support.

It's pretty clear which property he owns and the values can be appraised. He's a billionaire.

Many have questioned this, including many real billionaires like Mark Cuban who says trump is not a billionaire.
It is hard to say even though Forbes has tried very hard to figure it out.
It appears and in my opinion, he likely is though it is close. The problem with figuring it out is he holds a lot of properties which fluctuate in value. They aren't liquid investments so their value has to be estimate. Then #2, a lot of those properties have very large liens against them. He owes hundreds of millions secured by his properties according to records Forbes has been able to dig up combined with his disclosures in the financial reports he is now required to file. Those reports have very broad ranges. If you take the low end of the range for the assets and the high end for the liabilities, he is not a billionaire. Take the opposite and his net worth is between $1-$2 billion.
So again, though many have tried to figure it out, only he and his children know for sure if he is a billionaire. It is probably close.

and for the record, i am fine with it if you hit the RA button. i did not expect him to continue his libtard butthurt trump derangement syndrome diatribes but it is obvious now he was banned again from the poli board and is now using this as his platform.
go ahead. just do it, hit the RA button. It is probably for the best now.

You've made a constant fool of yourself discussing economics, finance, and tax on the Poli Board.
Yet, you thought it would be a good idea to bring the same ill-informed garbage here?
