If we had beaten Alabama on 1/9/12...

...ESPN would've only talked about how Oklahoma State should've gone and how they would've beaten us, even though they were blatantly politicking for a rematch after Iowa State upset them. It's just like how they think that USC is the undisputed national champion in 2003 and only talk about our title when mentioning Saban's rings and our 2007 title gets discredited due to "2 losses."
Then again, if we played Oklahoma State and won, ESPN would've talked about how Alabama supposedly outplayed us in the GoTC and anointed them as the "real national champion."

We could have been the dynasty instead, IMO. We would have won 2 in 5 years. Les really fricked it up on offense.

Yeah, let it go like people on here are saying, that game is too painful to keep rehashing and shite. Alabama had everything to play for and win in that game (revenge, a national title, bragging rights, etc.) LSU was doomed from the start, but that game did expose ole Les and put him on the hot seat.

Saban would still be our daddy winning every game since then.

ESPN
You should have stopped right here. I used to keep my TV on ESPN even if I wasn't really paying attention just to make sure I didn't miss any breaking sports news but over the last few years ESPN has been slowly fading into obscurity and I can't wait to see just how desperate they get as they continue to lose thousands of subscribers each month. They averaged 17,000 a day this past April and have lost a total of 14 MILLION since 2011.
My point, other than the joy it gives me to tell everyone about their pending demise, is that ESPN is quickly becoming less and less relevant, especially regarding the big 3 college sports. They have lost a ton of the on air talent and sports reporters that actually knew what they were talking about, researched the sports they covered and we're more than just entertaining and attractive.
