Kawhi controls all this. He's only got a year left on his deal and has to let teams see medicals from a mysterious injury. He'll go where he wants.

Lol you dumb. Kawhi controls absolutely nothing. The Spurs control everything. They can ship him anywhere. Kawhi is fuked.

He might not give a frick about what Kawhi wants, and he might take a lesser package to ship him out East rather than take a better package from the Lakers, just to spite him.

Well ownership is going to want to get the best package. If the Lakers give you the best package, gotta pull the trigger.

I never got the angst about trading within your conference, especially if they're giving you the best deal.

Cutting their nose to spite their face is not exactly the best way to rebuild a team imo.

Kyrie has an expiring contract, seems like a more likely swap than Gordon. Although Gordon would be a perfect Ginolbli replacement

Boston: smart, brown, and one of the 4 picks.

La Lakers: Deng, kuzma/Ingram, hart, and future pick. Or Randle instead of Deng and hart.

La clippers: bev, Bradley, Harris, future picks

Philly: fultz, Roco, and future pick

Thats what I think

Based on that I’d say Boston or LA. Clippers are yuck. Fultz is yuck

Philly might be willing to throw in saric.

But otherwise they really don't have the young cheap assets LA or Boston do.

Assuming Simmons and embiid are untouchable

Adrian Wojnarowski Adrian Wojnarowski @wojespn Indiana had little interest in Paul George trade w/ Lakers -- and that'll be case for Spurs too. Boston gives Spurs best building blocks of assets -- one of young forwards (likely Jaylen Brown), its own 18 pick/19 protected Kings pick, etc. Lonzo to Spurs? Don't hold your breath.

Nah, it doesn't work like that, it's not nearly that simple.

Kawhi has more power than the Spurs, unless the spurs dont care about their team and want to just be spiteful

the only chance the lakers get kawhi is if he explicitly tells teams he will not be resigning with anyone outside of the lakers like george was doing last summer. even then, i bet a team will come in and take a flyer on him and hope they can convince him to stay

Bradley is a UFA and sign and trades are very difficult with the new CBA when both teams are over the cap iirc

Yeah and Bradley has to want to sign with SA also. He went to Texas so I guess it’s possible

Chip England + Fultz = fixed jumper
add
Dario Saric and Jarred Bayless

works.

Picks/ Pick swap involved.

Brett Brown running the front office dealing with his buddy Pop.

Simmons
Kawhi
RoCo
Embid

Core 4 that competes.

OKC took a risk trading for George but w/ Westbrook they always felt they had a chance to resign him so what they gave up (and everyone killed IND that night btw) was worth it. A terrible team trading a high pick w/ ZERO chance of extending Kawhi makes no sense. He wants LA.
