Nothings absurd, Burrow was taking heat in scrimmages for three years at Ohio St, their defense is certainly not vanilla, it’s SECish.
You're delusional if you believe taking "heat" in a scrimmage is the same as a game. They protect the QBs in scrimmages captain.

The no.1 factor determining LSU’s success in 2018 will be turnovers.
I just don't think that the talent is very good (NOT SEC Championship/SEC/LSU caliber) and am only hoping for a minimally acceptable degree of performance that will give the Killer Bee's (Burrow & Brennan) enough time to get the ball out to the talented LSU WR Corps.
That and a minimum number of OL bad reads-mental breakdowns, which starts and stops with the Center. Who's that gonna be? (Cole Smith better be 300+ pounds when he hits camp in August or there definitely will be trouble in paradise)
At this point, that's all you can hope for in big SEC games, because we definitely do not match up with the Big Boys in that area. (LSU OL vs SEC BB DL)
Any Pump Lump Nut Butter Cheerleader MA's that think we do are not playing with a full deck of cards.

Did you watch any of OHIO St's scrimmages over the last three years? They seem intense!!! At least, more so than LSU's. Telling everyone, Burrow is ready, goona be one cool customer in the pocket for the offense, LSU has really lacked that and a deep D-line. Good times are coming fro LSU, Geuax Tigers!

Stop over analyzing shite.
Either One or the QB’s are really good or they aren’t. That will determine everything.

I'll add ST play and RZ scoring TD % goes up to 75% plus.
Combine better efficiency in RZ with more turnovers in the red zone, LSU could really have a special year.

I didn't know clipboards could accumulate pressure? How many psi are we talking about?

This is totes going to be like prime time against the U or his 1st road game (3rd game of the season) @ Auburn on CBS.

I did actually and no they did not seem intense. Idk what you're watching. The kid can be good and he might be very good this season. But you cant use scrimmages as evidence for game time experience or ability to be poised in a pocket under pressure. Accuracy sure, arm strength sure, command of an offense absolutely but the others no. Game time experience and poise in a pocket is not something that can be simulated in a scrimmage.

I know Burrow has not taken a snap yet But just from Watching his spring games and the few times he’s played in a game looks way better than anything we put on the field in the last five years. So there’s plenty of reason for fans to be excited and optimistic.

Etling deserved to have happy feet with that inconsistent OL, and Brennan started to look fine--seemed more in synch with the offense than the receivers at times.

Feel better about turnovers with LSU’s upgraded DLine and QB,
Not that he was that great with arm strength or accuracy, BUT Etling had the highest TD:INT ratio in LSU history. Your point is turnovers, so just pointing out you can’t get much better than Etling’s ball security.
And the DLine is going to force more turnovers? What about the DB’s?
2011’s defense turned the ball over more with DB pressure than anywhere else on the field.
Our weakest position, if we had to rank them.
I really think you just like rambling about obvious stuff and then mix in your below average opinion.
Terrible thread.

Turnovers are pretty obvious for any team
I think our W/L will be most closely correlated with completion %
We don't have a great run game to lean on so we'll need someone to step up as an accurate passer. Not just to avoid turnovers but to move the chains.

what? Has he ever taken meaningful snaps?
Posted on 6/14/18 at 3:07 pm to LSUcajun77
No!!!!! You can not be serious? LSU has had no real turnover progression since the Honeybadger era. And the Honeybadger was successful because of the DLine occupying spaces. Now with Greedy in the secondary and a more impressive Dline applying pressure watch the turnovers dramatically increase.

Having a roaming band of freaks running around at the LB position ain't gonna hurt either.

How did you come to this conclusion?
I’m not saying he can or can’t. But it is impossible for you to make that assumption.

Burrow and healthy, highly productive corner backs.
