No.1 factor to LSU’s success in 2018 football season

It is QB play for any team not just LSU.

What are you basing this on?

The #1 factor is can Ensminger get out scheme the teams we play with equal to greater talent.

Nothings absurd, Burrow was taking heat in scrimmages for three years at Ohio St, their defense is certainly not vanilla, it’s SECish.

And that footage is available where??

How did you come to this conclusion? I’m not saying he can or can’t. But it is impossible for you to make that assumption.

I'm going to enjoy this!

You could say, I came to this conclusion, after witnessing Ohio St. recruit and develop multiple QB's, multiple times during a season. during Urban's tenure. Tiger fans have always been amazed by that fact.

You could say, I came to this conclusion, after Burrow spent 3 years being developed by Urban and 3 years scrimmaging against one of the top 5 defenses in the country.

You could say, I came to this conclusion after seeing Ohio St's third string QB beat the no.1 defense in the country Alabama.

You could say, I came to this conclusion after Burrow nearly won the starting job at Ohio St. against two of their best recruits.

You could say, I'm crazy or delussional to conclude Burrow is LSU's most developed and talented QB based on such weak evidence, you are free to be ludicrous.

Funny you didn't have a line in their saying ...

"You could say I came to this conclusion from watching him play against such and such and he took over the game and won it on a beautiful touchdown pass."

Any insight into why that is?

No!!!!! You can not be serious? LSU has had no real turnover progression since the Honeybadger era. And the Honeybadger was successful because of the DLine occupying spaces. Now with Greedy in the secondary and a more impressive Dline applying pressure watch the turnovers dramatically increase.

Are you stupid or just slow?

I said 2011 in my post.

And Tyrann was successful because he was one of a kind. Also because he was good at stripping the ball in the open. Yes, the DLine took up space and allowed him to pressure the QB, but look at where a majority of his turnovers were. He created them himself.

Greedy and Tyrann are two different backs. Greedy is great, no doubt, but he’s a lock down corner, Tyrann was not. He was a freelancing nickel who could play CB.
He was a freak. Nothing against Greedy but he’s not on Tyranns level.

Again, you mentioned a better QB when discussing turnovers. I pointed out that it can’t get better than Etling in terms of ball security. You want to challenge that?

There is absolutely no way Burrow throws less int's then Etling. Well, if he plays that is.

Holy shite.... the kid hadn't taking a meaningful collegiate snap in 3 years. He's never had an SEC front 7 teeing off on him for 4 quarters. We really need to relax with the expectations.

It's absolutely crazy what some of our fans are thinking. They act like the kid's been a starting QB for tOSU for the past four years. I think it was a great pickup, and I hope he helps us a lot, but some people should pump the brakes a little.

Well if you ask people like TTT, he already knows his stats and he won’t be throwing any.
Because he almost won the QB job at OSU and once a 3rd String QB, not named Burrow, won a game vs Bama. The guy is Jesus with a football. Get with the program.

Instead of just being excited and letting the kid show us, people like this put all the expectations on the kid and expect him to be God, because he was a back up on a team that’s played well before. It’s insane.
Will he be good? We don’t know that. Does he sound like he’s good? Of course. No one on this green earth knows what he’s gonna do. Good news is we have two other highly talented guys we can try, if it doesn’t work out. No reason to just dismiss them based off opinions of Burrow. Not in June.

So your “data” for your delusional conclusion is that he once played for Ohio st.

News flash, he doesn’t play for Ohio St. any more and Urban Meyer isn’t in purple and gold.

Again, I’m not saying he will be great or he won’t be, but if the only hope for LSU football is to depend on QB’s developed by other programs, what does that say about the current state of LSU football?

When u say a qb like Burrow who is used to the pressure building around him.....

Are u referring to when he's played with the frat brothers or when he's played video games?

Yep a lot on Burrow shoulders. Having said that slightly above average QB play gets 8 wins. Above avg QB play bring 9 or 10 wins in reach. Experience wise we are probably one year away from challenging for a playoff berth. Physically and athleticism we should be back to top ten this year.

He has played against the Ohio StAte number one defense for three years daily. In case anyone has paid attention Ohio StAte has been better than LSU for several years. And the Big 10 has been better than the SEC for the last couple of years.
