The premise of the article struct me as odd. I have known a LOT of gays and lesbians. None of them were ever on food stamps.
The article sites The Williams Institute. I never heard of it so I looked it up. They do not deal with poverty, food stamps or any other issues of the disadvantaged.
They are a gay advocacy group. IE, they lie for a living. None of this stuff is true.

bullshite story. A very small percentage have families. It is very cheap to support a single person.
Virtually every gay person I know, male or female, is affluent or very rich.
They are likely talking about mentally ill trans people who cannot or will not hold down a job.
If I were a gay person, I would hate getting lumped in with the trans people.

That would be my guess too. I don't really base that off anything other than personal observations from LGBTQ people I know.

Dunno, maybe? But you're right, most of the gays I know are doing very well financially, furthermore, they wouldn't be caught dead pulling out an EBT card within a hundred miles of their home -- someone they know would see and it would spread like gay wildfire

I think a BIG part of it is their desire to be perceived as "normal" - even if by blackmail, extortion and other threats. If they can get society to the point that these MENTALLY ILL TRANSGENDER FREAKS are considered "normal" then they (figs and lesbos) believe, by comparison, they will be perceived as even "more normal."
